Today we have the pleasure of Frankie’s mum come into the school to make Frankie’s family favourite Rocky Road with us! We had lots of fun and it is certainly delicious! An added treat on a cool day was hot chocolate! Thank you Pia!

We are thrilled to say that Annie's artwork, "The Farm at Sunrise", is among a group of 60 finalists in the 2026 University of New England School Acquisitive Art Prize.
This is an amazing achievement given there were 716 art entries this year from 65 schools.
The 2026 UNESAP Let’s Hang It! exhibition will be held from Friday 24 July - Sunday 9 August at the New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM) in Armidale. Stop in and see the fantastic works for yourself if you happen to be in the area.

A big thank you to Mrs Crumpton for organising the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea in Yetman today. We were so glad to join our community, enjoy some tasty treats and support such a great cause.

A terrific day at the Moree Zone Cross Country in Gravesend with our terrific trio doing an outstanding job on the course. All three students achieved top 10 finishes in their races and represented our school with great sportsmanship.

A special congratulations to Max who placed 4th and earned selection in the zone team to compete at Coolah in the coming weeks. A fantastic achievement.

Thank you to Gravesend Public School for hosting a great event and well done to all competitors on the day.

What a great day we had today visiting our friends from Bonshaw Public School for the Museum in Wheels exhibition of ‘Connected’. We explored the way communication has changed from the original indigenous inhabitants of this land right through to the modern day. Our students had opportunities to use a rotary dial telephone ( many memories for staff), and create their names using Morse code and Sephamore flags. A big thanks to Nat and Paul- Mrs and Mr B- for making this day such an educational and inspiring experience for us.

🎨 Warialda Show Artwork Success! 🎨

We are so proud to announce our students’ outstanding achievements at the 2026 Warialda Show, where creativity, effort, and inspiration were on full display.

Our school artworks followed this year's theme of "Colourful Agriculture".

🏅 Lucy wowed the judges and took home FIRST PRIZE for her artwork

👏 Frankie, Mac, Olivia, and Ted each received a HIGHLY COMMENDED certificate for their school artworks.

🐸 Thomas earning SECOND PLACE in the recycled artwork category for his frog sculpture.

It’s wonderful to see our students’ hard work and creativity celebrated. Thank you to the Warialda Show committee for supporting young artists, and congrats again to ALL our participants . You’re a credit to our school and community!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, grandmothers, carers and special women in our school community.

Thank you for the care, support, encouragement and love you give each and every day. Your kindness and dedication help shape the wonderful young people we are so proud of at our little school with a big heart.

We hope today brings you plenty of smiles, special moments and a chance to feel celebrated for all that you do.

Today, as part of our Cooking Club, we had the pleasure of having Carolina Andersson, Lucy’s mum, come to share and cook with us Lucy’s Grandpa’s Lasagna. It was a memorable cooking experience and we all enjoyed learning about Lucy’s favourite family recipe and the stories behind it.
It was absolutely delicious!
We were then spoilt with a special surprise dessert- Lucy’s Grandma’s Frozen Cheesecake!
Thank you again Ms Andersson for sharing with us your family recipes and taking the time to cook it with us!
