As some of you may be aware, Australia will be conducting a national test of the new emergency alert system, AusAlert, later this month. For Victoria, the test is scheduled for
Monday 27 July 2026 at 2.00pm ( AEST ).
Please note that AusAlert will not replace the current Emergency Alert system this fire season. The AusAlert system is planned for future implementation.

Thank you to not only all of our members at Yinnar South Fire Brigade, but also to those in our neighbouring brigades and all members across Victoria and Australia.

Today we recognise those who's duty it is to run towards danger when others are told to leave.

On International Firefighter Day, we thank our incredible CFA members and all of those who protect communities in times of crisis and every day in between.

Your courage, commitment and care don't go unnoticed.

Yinnar South Fire Brigade would like to sincerely thank Latrobe City Council for their assistance in purchasing 2 sets of flares under the 2025/2026 Quick Response Grant Program. The E-Flares will assist navigation for Fire Trucks at incidents.
