Who said gin was a Summer drink?

Many thanks to Mr Cinco, Drew, for his continuing support of the Strait range of vodkas and gins, over the last five years, and to his discerning fan club for enjoying them.

He is also trialling a new Strait liqueur that seems to be going down very well in cocktails.

Mid winter drinking at its best. The Pippin #2 is our cocktail of the week.
Strait gin, Dubonnet, maraschino and aperitivo.
Balanced, dry and on the boozy sipping end of the scale.

Congratulations to George de Hayr for a superb ANZAC Day speech at this morning's Dawn Service, in Launceston.

Scotch Oakburn student George picked sloe berries from his family's property for Strait Brands as part of a school business project when he was 14.

Now very much a young adult, we hope George will accept a bottle of Strait Tasmanian Sloe Gin, with our compliments.

We have been to Australia House, in London's Strand, this week as we pursue plans for UK distribution later this year.

Don't let the blue sky deceive you. It has been freezing cold for the last couple of weeks.

The Strait Man can't wait to ditch his scarf, beanie and gloves and get his Summer gear on.

Strait Brands is proud to have been announced a finalist in two categories of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce Spirit Super Business Excellence Awards, 2023.

A past winner of the section, Strait is once again a finalist in Excellence in Export and is also among the final cut in Excellence in Design, which puts our in-house packaging design expertise under scrutiny.

The business is well advanced in its export activity in Europe and North America and its recently re-designed proprietary Strait vodka and gin bottles and (we are told) spectacular Badger Head decanters and stoppers will be leading the charge in international markets.

We congratulate all finalists and wish them best of luck in their judges' interviews, which take place next month.

Winners will be announced at the annual awards dinner on Saturday, March 18.

Wishing all Friends of Strait a wonderful Christmas holiday, with thanks to the generosity of the Stanley Hotel, in Tasmania's north west, where this thirst quenching Berry Merry Christmas cocktail, highlighting Strait Tasmanian Raspberry Gin, has been wowing the crowds. Also featuring Cointreau, a simple syrup, lime, and garnished with fresh lime.

Overwhelming customer demand for Strait Tasmanian Raspberry Gin was so great the entire first batch was sold before its launch.
Raspberry is currently the only fruit to feature in both Strait’s 100% natural vodka and gin ranges.

Strait Tasmanian Raspberry Vodka, launched in November 2017, is already our third biggest seller with its deep flavour and significant bouquet, a firm favourite in bars creating cocktails.

Locally-grown Tamar Valley raspberries are also the heroes in Strait Tasmanian Raspberry Gin, which is being sold in 500ml bottles.

The fruit is macerated in international award-winning Strait Dry Gin, which pioneered the Australian premium gin boom as long ago as 2006.

Strait Brands is a large scale purchaser of surplus fruit that has no other outlet by virtue of being too large or too small to be sold on supermarket shelves.

Strait Raspberry Gin is available in bottle shops, specialist stores and bars across Tasmania and was officially launched at the Gin & Spirits Fair at The Conservatory, Parramatta Creek.

Hillwood Berries’ Rose Zanchetta was the first to put Strait Tasmanian Raspberry Gin on the shelf and served up a welcome cocktail at the popular café, shop and Pick-your-Own centre.
