Hi everyone! We are super excited to be back!!
As many may be aware we are scheduled to open the pool this week. It has taken longer than expected to balance the water and also cut and refit the new grates (1 at a time) here in this picture, so we don't have them floating away like last year or people falling through trap doors.
We will be finished these works today and will aim to open tomorrow at 1pm. We can't wait!
Excited to see as many people tomorrow. Remember if you're under 10 years old please bring an adult with you, it's fun for them too! See you all tomorrow :)

We've closed for the season 🥲 See you in October!

On Friday, we finished up for the season at our pool in Yuendumu.

All our Central Australia pools close by early April, and for good reason! Pictured here, you can see our adults-only sessions back in the middle of March (😎) …versus one week later (🥶). From late March, temperatures begin to drop, particularly at night, and that means our pools drop in temperature too.

This season at Yuendumu has been short but sweet – less than four months! We’ve been so excited by:
▪️ Transforming the pool from sludge green, to glittering blue 🐸/💎
▪️ The events and activities we’ve hosted with community (mums and bubs with Families as First Teachers, first aid training with Kurdu Kurdu Kurlangu, Easter egg hunts with Wanta Aboriginal Corporation, and school visits with Papunya School and Willowra School)
▪️ Keeping the pool open consistently, particularly through the school holidays, while establishing a local team

Yuendumu, Ltyentye Apurte and Utju have all now closed for the season, reopening again in October. We’ll be back with the sun 🖤🌞❤️

We loved having Willowra School back at Yuendumu Pool! Looking forward to seeing them again soon 🏊‍♂️🏊🏊‍♀️
