📅 What’s On at Zeerust Primary School - Term 3, Week 8

Another busy week ahead at ZPS! 🌟

✅ Monday: Auslan session and hats to be worn by all students and staff
✅ Tuesday: Hot Lunch Day and SELF session
✅ Wednesday: Lunch order day, Active School session, and our Year 4-6 students attend the Young Writers event in Shepparton. No library session
✅ Thursday: Maggie, Speech Therapist visit
✅ Friday: Assembly at 3:15pm

🍌🍪 Cooking Up a Feast at Zeerust PS! 🍪🍌

As part of OzHarvest's FEAST program, our students have been learning about reducing food waste and finding creative ways to use ingredients that might otherwise be thrown away.

This week, we put some leftover bananas and rolled oats to good use by making delicious banana oat cookies! To make them extra tasty, the students added some chocolate chips before enjoying the results of their hard work.

The session was about more than just cooking. Students developed practical kitchen skills, learned about sustainable food practices, and worked together as a team, with some even helping out by washing the dishes afterwards.

A fantastic way to learn, cook, and make a positive difference for our planet! 🌏💚
