Azərbaycan Respublikasının Gürcüstandakı səfiri Faiq Quliyev tərəfindən səfirlikdə Gürcüstan Patriarxlığının nümayəndələri Bütün Gürcüstan Katalikos-Patriarxının xorepiskopu, mitropolit Teodor, Patriarxlığın Xarici əlaqələr şöbəsinin rəhbəri, mitropolit Gerasim və Tbilisi Ruhani Akademiyasının rektoru, protopresviter Georgi ilə görüş keçirilmişdir. Görüşdə Qafqaz Müsəlmanları İdarəsinin Gürcüstan üzrə nümayəndəsi Hacı Əli Əliyev də iştirak etmişdir. Görüş zamanı Gürcüstan Patriarxlığının nümayəndə heyətinin bu yaxınlarda Azərbaycana gözlənilən səfəri ilə bağlı məsələlər müzakirə edilmişdir. Həmçinin, söhbət əsnasında xalqlarımız arasında tarixən formalaşmış mehriban qonşuluq, qardaşlıq münasibətləri xüsusi vurğulanmış, Gürcüstan Patriarxlığının nümayəndə heyətinin Azərbaycana planlaşdırılan səfərinin bu münasibətlərin yüksək səviyyəsinin bariz nümunəsi olması qeyd edilmişdir.

The interview of the chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations Mubariz Gurbanli to Israeli journalist Rachel Abraham was published on the Kazakh portal ea-news.kz.

In his interview, Mubariz Gurbanli stressed that Armenia has destroyed both Muslim and Christian religious monuments in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which has been under occupation for nearly 30 years, including the destruction of cultural heritage, and that some international organizations have turned a blind eye to it.
