📷🇭🇺We are delighted to congratulate Ádám Fáth, one of the winners of the COP29 Photo Contest, on receiving the Grand Prize at the iCentre Photography Competition for his remarkable photograph „Forgotten Night”. The winning image was captured in Baku during Ádám’s visit in Azerbaijan. His photograph was selected from nearly 3,600 images submitted by around 1,700 photographers.

The competition was open exclusively to photographs taken with an iPhone. As Ádám himself recalls, after patiently waiting for the right moment, he finally captured the image he never expected, proving that great photography is a combination of vision, patience and a little bit of luck. We are proud that this award-winning image was taken in Azerbaijan🇦🇿

Azerbaijani Carpets in Budapest 🇭🇺🇦🇿
If you are in Budapest this July, don’t miss the exhibition “Azerbaijani Carpets: From Tradition to Contemporary Art” at the Museum of Ethnography, open until 26 July.

Featuring treasures from the collection of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, the exhibition celebrates the 120th anniversary of the renowned carpet artist and scholar Latif Karimov. Rare historical carpets are presented alongside traditional textiles, jewellery, carpet sketches and contemporary artworks, creating a unique dialogue between tradition and modern artistic expression.

A wonderful opportunity to discover one of Azerbaijan’s richest cultural traditions through an exceptional exhibition.

⏳ 12 July is the last day to visit the Hungarian National Museum’s Attila exhibition!

The Attila exhibition of the Hungarian National Museum has welcomed more than 108.000 visitors, demonstrating the remarkable interest in this unique international exhibition dedicated to the legacy of the Huns. The exhibition brings together around 400 exceptional artefacts from 64 museums across 13 countries.

Among the highlights is a Hun-period diadem from the collection of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. The exhibition remains open until 12 July Sunday, 8:00 PM. We warmly invite everyone to take this final opportunity.

The 12th Steering Committee Meeting of the Green Energy Corridor between the Governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary was held on 8th July 2026 in Baku, with the participation of Mr. András Tótth, State Secretary for Energy of the Ministry of Economy and Energy of Hungary and MVM Group. During the meeting, the Feasibility Study of the project was approved, thus the project formally entered its next stage of development. The parties signed a Joint Letter of Support addressed to Dan Jørgensen, European Commissioner for Energy, expressing their support for the implementation of the Green Energy Corridor project. The Heads of Delegations came to an agreement to initiate the inclusion of the Green Energy Corridor project in the third list of the European Union's Projects of Mutual Interest (PMIs).

State Secretary András Tótth emphasised Hungary’s commitment for energy diversification and decarbonization. Hungary has the largest share of solar energy production in its energy mix in the EU, while Hungary also aims to increase its wind energy capacity and will significantly invest into the development of its national energy grid.

Hungary and Azerbaijan are enhanced strategic partners since 2023. Cooperation in the field of energy has a prominent role in the relations of the two countries.

Azərbaycan, Gürcüstan, Rumıniya və Macarıstan hökumətləri arasında Yaşıl Enerji Dəhlizi üzrə Rəhbər Komitəsinin 12-ci iclası 2026-ci il iyulun 8-də Bakıda, Macarıstanın İqtisadiyyat və Energetika Nazirliyinin enerji üzrə dövlət katibi cənab András Tótthun və MVM Qrupunun nümayəndələrinin iştirakı ilə keçirilib. İclas zamanı layihənin texniki-iqtisadi əsaslandırması təsdiq edilib və bununla da layihə rəsmi olaraq inkişafının növbəti mərhələsinə qədəm qoyub. Dövlət katibi Andraş Tótth Macarıstanın enerji şaxələndirilməsi və karbonsuzlaşdırma öhdəliyinə sadiq olduğunu vurğulayıb. Macarıstan Avropa İttifaqı daxilində enerji balansında günəş enerjisi istehsalının ən böyük payına malikdir, eyni zamanda ölkə külək isə külək enerjisi potensialını artırmağı hədəfləyir və milli enerji şəbəkəsinin inkişafına əhəmiyyətli sərmayə yatıracaq.

Macarıstan və Azərbaycan 2023-cü ildən bəri genişləndirilmiş strateji tərəfdaşlardır. Enerji sahəsində əməkdaşlıq iki ölkə arasındakı münasibətlərdə mühüm rol oynayır.

2026. július 8-án Bakuban rendezték meg az Azerbajdzsán, Georgia, Románia és Magyarország együttműködésében megvalósítandó Zöld Energia Folyosó projekt irányítóbizottságának 12. ülését. Magyarországot Tótth András energetikáért felelős államtitkár képviselte, valamint az ülésen részt vett az MVM Csoport.

A találkozó során jóváhagyták a projekt megvalósíthatósági tanulmányát, így a Zöld Energia Folyosó hivatalosan a fejlesztés következő szakaszába lépett.

A delegációvezetők aláírták a Zöld Energia Folyosó projekt megvalósítását támogató, Dan Jørgensen energiaügyi európai biztosnak címzett közös levelet, valamint megállapodtak abban, hogy kezdeményezik a projekt felvételét az Európai Unió kölcsönös érdekeket szolgáló projektjeinek (PMI) harmadik listájára.

Tótth András államtitkár hangsúlyozta, hogy Magyarország elkötelezett az energiadiverzifikáció és a dekarbonizáció iránt. Az EU-n belül Magyarország energiamixében a legnagyobb a napenergia-termelés aránya, emellett hazánk célul tűzte ki a szélenergiatermelési-kapacitásának növelését, és jelentős beruházások keretében fejlesztik a nemzeti energiahálózatot.

Magyarország és Azerbajdzsán 2023 óta kiemelt stratégiai partnere egymásnak. A két ország kapcsolataiban az energetika különösen frontos szerepet játszik.

🎶🇭🇺 Hungarian contemporary jazz was proudly represented at the prestigious Shahin Novrasli Festival in Baku. 🇦🇿
On 7 July 2026 the Antal Gábor Trio gave a highly successful performance, presenting compositions from their latest album, Shards of Peace. Their distinctive blend of contemporary jazz, fusion, classical influences and improvisation was warmly received by the festival audience and reflected the spirit of artistic dialogue that the festival celebrates. 🎹✨

The concert marked another valuable contribution to the cultural relations between Hungary and Azerbaijan, demonstrating how music serves as a universal language that brings people and cultures closer together.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Antal Gábor, György Szentgallay and Szabolcs Varga and wish them continued success on the international stage.

​7 iyul 2026-cı il tarixində Antal Qabor Triosu festivalda uğurla çıxış edərək, onların sonuncu “Shards of Peace” (“Sülh qırıntıları”) albomundan kompozisiyaları təqdim etdi. Müasir caz, fyujn, klassik musiqi elementləri və improvizasiyanın özünəməxsus sintezi festivalın tamaşaçıları tərəfindən böyük rəğbətlə qarşılandı və festivalın əsasını təşkil edən bədii dialoq ruhunu mükəmməl şəkildə əks etdirdi. 🎹✨

Bu konsert Macarıstan və Azərbaycan arasındakı mədəni əlaqələrə növbəti dəyərli töhfə olmaqla yanaşı, musiqinin xalqları və mədəniyyətləri bir-birinə yaxınlaşdıran universal bir dil olduğunu bir daha nümayiş etdirdi.

​Nəşrdə macar, azərbaycanlı və digər türk xalqları arasındakı tarixi, etnik və mədəni əlaqələrin elmi təhlili əks olunmuşdur.
​
Tədbiri Türk Mədəniyyəti və İrsi Fondunun prezidenti, professor Aktotı Raimkulova və Macarıstanın Azərbaycan Respublikasındakı fövqəladə və səlahiyyətli səfiri Tamaş Torma açmışlar. Natiqlər arasında Milli Məclisin Ailə, qadın və uşaq məsələləri komitəsinin sədri, professor Hicran Hüseynova, akademik Nizami Cəfərov, Əməkdar incəsənət xadimi İsmayıl Ömərov, professor Sevdagül Əliyeva və fəlsəfə doktoru Nigar Əfəndiyeva çıxış etmişlər. 📚🇭🇺🇦🇿 The presentation of Professor Hasan Hasanov’s book “Common Ethnic Roots of Hungarians and Azerbaijanis” was held at the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation in Baku.
The publication presents a scholarly analysis of the historical, ethnic and cultural connections between Hungarian, Azerbaijani and Turkic peoples.

The event was opened by Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and H.E. Tamás Torma, Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan. Among the distinguished speakers were Hijran Huseynova, Chairwoman of the Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Milli Majlis, Academician Nizami Jafarov, Honoured Art Worker Ismayil Omarov, Professor Sevdagul Aliyeva and Dr. Nigar Afandiyeva. All speakers emphasized the scholarly significance of the publication and its contribution to strengthening Hungarian–Azerbaijani cultural and academic relations.

The program concluded with Hungarian and Azerbaijani musical pieces performed by Ismayil Zulfugarov, laureate of numerous national and international competitions.

Milli Məclisin Mədəniyyət komitəsinin sədr müavini, deputat Günay Əfəndiyevanın Xəzər rayonundakı 156 nömrəli tam orta məktəbə dəvətini böyük məmnuniyyətlə qəbul etdik.
​Şagirdlər Macarıstan da daxil olmaqla, türk ölkələrinin mədəniyyətini, ənənəvi mətbəxini və xalq rəqslərini təqdim etdilər. 🇭🇺✨
​Yüksək zövqlə hazırlanmış Macarıstan stendini görmək və Macarıstanın mədəni irsini əks etdirən möhtəşəm rəqs nümayişindən zövq almaq bizim üçün xüsusi şərəf oldu.
​Xoş dəvətə, səmimi qonaqpərvərliyə və heyranedici təqdimata görə təşəkkür edirik. Gənc nəslin mədəni müxtəlifliyi tərənnüm etməsini və xalqlarımız arasındakı bağları gücləndirməsini görmək olduqca ruhlandırıcı idi.

We were delighted to accept the invitation of MP Gunay Efendiyeva, Deputy Chairwoman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis, to visit Primary and Secondary School No. 156 in Khazar District.
The students presented the cultures, traditional cuisine and folk dances of Turkic countries, including Hungary. 🇭🇺✨
We were especially honoured to see the beautifully prepared Hungarian stand and enjoy the wonderful dance performance showcasing Hungarian cultural heritage.
Thank you for the kind invitation, the warm hospitality and the impressive presentation. It was inspiring to see the younger generation celebrating cultural diversity and strengthening the bonds between our nations.
