Dear Azerbaijani followers of our page! Dearest Friend!!! The friendship between Belgium, Holland and Azerbaijan is getting stronger every month. Let me use an opportunity and introduce to your kind attention Mayor of Lommel City Mr. Peter Vanvelthoven.

1. His biografy and informations is bellow:

Mr. Peter VANVELTHOVEN was Born in Lommel, 22 October 1962. He is Married with Ingrid Thijs and Father of two children: Nathalie (17 years old) and Sam (13 years old). Mr. Peter Vanvelthoven did stady Law School in Brussels in 1985 and Special Studies Tax law and Accountancy R.U.G. in Ghent City in 1986.

2. Mr. Vanvelthoven Professionel career:

- In 1985 Peter Vanvelthoven took the oath as a lawyer at the Court of Appeal in Ghent (Belgium) and signed up as a trainee at the Bar in Ghent.
- Two years later he became a full-time assistent Tax Law at the Faculty of Law of the Free University of Brussels.
- From 1989 till 1995 Peter Vanvelthoven was visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economic, Social and Political Sciences of the Free University of Brussels.
- In 1991 he was recorded on the register of lawyers to the Bar of Hasselt.

3. Mr. Vanvelthoven Political career:

- Provincial Councillor Limburg (1994-1995);
- Member of the Provincial Executive Limburg (1995);
- Member of the Flemish Parliament (1995-1999);
- Member of the Federal Parliament (1999-2003);
- Federal Secretary of State for Computerization of the State (2003-2005);
- Federal Minister for Labour and Computerization of the State (2005-2007);
- Member of the Federal Parliament, chairman of the socialist party in the Federal Parliament (2007-2009);
- Member of the Flemish Parliament, chairman of the socialist party in the Flemish Parliament (2009-2010);
- Member of the Federal Parliament (2010-…);
- Mayor of the City of Lommel (2007-…).

You are very welcome to historical and the same time modern city such a Lommel in Belgium.
