Lietuvos Respublikos užsienio reikalų ministras Kęstutis Budrys surengė pokalbį telefonu su Azerbaidžano Respublikos užsienio reikalų ministru Jeyhunu Bayramovu.

Ministrai aptarė Lietuvos ir Azerbaidžano dvišalius santykius ir jų plėtros perspektyvas. Sutarta tęsti aktyvų politinį dialogą ir plėsti bendradarbiavimą abiem pusėms svarbiose srityse.

Taip pat pabrėžta partnerystės daugiašalėse platformose stiprinimo svarba. Kęstutis Budrys informavo apie artėjantį Lietuvos pirmininkavimą ES Tarybai 2027 m. pirmąjį pusmetį bei pasiruošimo darbus. Apsikeista nuomonėmis dėl glaudesnio bendradarbiavimo būsimo Lietuvos pirmininkavimo laikotarpiu, stiprinant Azerbaidžano ir ES santykius 🇱🇹🤝🇪🇺🤝🇦🇿

Ministrai taip pat aptarė regioninio saugumo klausimus, taikos procesą Pietų Kaukaze bei iniciatyvas, siekiant užtikrinti ilgalaikę taiką ir stabilumą regione, taip pat kitus aktualius tarptautinės politikos klausimus.

Today 🇱🇹🇱🇻🇪🇪 Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia commemorate the 37th anniversary of .

Three nations, united in their determination to restore independence, came together on the 50th anniversary of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact and formed a 650-kilometre human chain across the three Baltic states.

Representatives of many nations stood with us in solidarity that day, including 🇺🇦🇦🇿🇲🇩 and many others.

The became a powerful symbol of unity and peaceful resistance, inspiring other nations around the world in their pursuit of freedom and independence.

The spirit of the Baltic Way lives on — in our unity, our resilience and our unwavering support for Ukraine 🇺🇦 in its heroic fight to defend freedom and European values against Russian imperialism.

August 23 is also commemorated as the European Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Stalinism and Na**sm.

Strengthening the partnership between Lithuania and Azerbaijan.

A productive and insightful meeting this week between Ambassador of Lithuania with H.E. Elchin Amirbayov, Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Special Assignments.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on recent regional developments and to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Lithuania and Azerbaijan, as well as the EU-Azerbaijan partnership.

🏆 HISTORIC NIGHT FOR SABAH FC! 🇦🇿⚽
Coached by Lithuanian manager 🇱🇹Valdas Dambrauskas, Sabah FC produced a sensational victory, defeating Danish champions AGF Aarhus 4–0 in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying-round tie to secure a 5–2 aggregate win.

A dominant performance in front of the home supporters saw Sabah overturn the challenge of the Danish side and book their place in the UEFA Champions League play-off round.
