Press Statement Issued by the Embassy of the State of Palestine to Bosnia and Herzegovina
On the Occasion of the 78th Anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba
The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Bosnia and Herzegovina affirms that the 78th anniversary of the Nakba is not merely a historical milestone, but an ongoing national and political confrontation with the continuing crime aimed at erasing the Palestinian narrative and dismantling the refugee cause. In this context, H.E. Ambassador Sylvia Abu Laban, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated:
“Our battle today is a battle for identity, rights, and existence. We remain committed to the power of international legitimacy and the relevant United Nations resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 194, which guarantees the Right of Return as a legal and historical right that cannot be extinguished by the passage of time. Despite the genocidal war in Gaza, the targeting of refugee camps, and the attempts to eliminate UNRWA, our people remain steadfast in their right to return to their homes. The refugee camp will continue to stand as a living witness to the crime and as a raised banner of memory.”
The Embassy further stresses that this unified national call seeks to restore the refugee issue to the heart of the international political struggle. The Embassy also announces the launch of the distribution of comprehensive political and legal dossiers to diplomatic missions and international organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These dossiers include letters addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Speakers of Parliaments, emphasizing the continuity of the Nakba and the urgent need to confront attempts aimed at undermining the legitimate rights of the our people.

بمناسبة الذكرى الثامنة والسبعين للنكبة الفلسطينية
تؤكد سفارة دولة فلسطين في البوسنة والهرسك أن الذكرى الثامنة والسبعين للنكبة ليست مجرد محطة زمنية، بل هي نقطة اشتباك وطني وسياسي مستمر مع الجريمة المتواصلة التي تستهدف شطب الرواية الفلسطينية وتفكيك قضية اللاجئين. وفي هذا السياق، صرحت سعادة السفيرة سلفيا أبو لبن، سفيرة دولة فلسطين لدى البوسنة والهرسك، قائلة:
"إن معركتنا اليوم هي معركة الدفاع عن الهوية والحق والوجود، فنحن نتمسك بقوة الشرعية الدولية وقرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، وعلى رأسها القرار 194، الذي يضمن حق العودة كحق قانوني وتاريخي لا يسقط بالتقادم. ورغم حرب الإبادة في غزة واستهداف المخيمات ومحاولات تصفية 'الأونروا'، يظل شعبنا متمسكاً بحقه في العودة إلى دياره، وسيبقى المخيم شاهداً حياً على الجريمة وراية مرفوعة للذاكرة".
وتشدد السفارة على أن هذا النداء الوطني الجامع يأتي لإعادة تركيز قضية اللاجئين في قلب المعركة السياسية الدولية. كما تعلن السفارة عن البدء بتوزيع ملفات سياسية وحقوقية متكاملة للبعثات الدبلوماسية والمنظمات الدولية في البوسنة والهرسك، تتضمن رسائل موجهة للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة ورؤساء البرلمانات، للتأكيد على استمرارية النكبة وضرورة التصدي لمحاولات تقويض حقوق شعبنا المشروعة.
