📢 🇺🇸 📌 Shaping the Future with Artificial Intelligence🤖

American Corner Trebinje hosted an inspiring workshop on Artificial Intelligence for students and teachers of Centar srednjih škola Trebinje, led by engineer Marko Supić.

During the first part of the lecture, participants explored “The Power of AI – Transforming Ideas into Intelligent Solutions,” learning about the growing impact of artificial intelligence and its potential to shape the future through innovation and smart technologies.

The second part, “AI in Action – Practical Insights into Artificial Intelligence,” focused on real-world applications of AI, offering practical examples and valuable insights into how artificial intelligence is already transforming education, business, and everyday life.

This workshop is part of the Freedom250 Campaign and represents one in a series of workshops dedicated to exploring modern technologies, digital skills, and the future of innovation.

🇺🇸 📌 Обликујући будућност уз вјештачку интелигенцију🤖

Амерички кутак Требиње организовао је инспиративну радионицу о вјештачкој интелигенцији за ученике и професоре Центра средњих школа Требиње, коју је водио инжењер Марко Супић.

У првом дијелу предавања, учесници су имали прилику да се упознају са темом „Моћ вјештачке интелигенције – претварање идеја у интелигентна рјешења“, гдје су сазнали више о утицају који вјештачка интелигенција има на савремено друштво, као и о њеном потенцијалу да обликује будућност кроз иновације и паметне технологије.

Други дио радионице, под називом „Вјештачка интелигенција у пракси – практични увиди у свијет AI-а“, био је посвећен конкретним примјерима примјене вјештачке интелигенције, уз корисне увиде у то како она већ данас мијења образовање, пословање и свакодневни живот.

Ова радионица је дио кампање Freedom250 и представља једну у низу радионица посвећених модерним технологијама, дигиталним вјештинама и будућности иновација.

🇺🇸 📌At the American Corner Trebinje, two successful lectures were held for high school students, focusing on iconic architectural and historical landmarks of the United States. The lectures were delivered by Slavenko Vukasović, a civil engineer, who used an engaging and interdisciplinary approach to introduce students to significant examples of American architectural and cultural heritage.
The first presentation explored Fallingwater in detail, one of the most famous works of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, highlighting the brilliance of organic architecture and the technical challenges posed by its bold cantilevered terraces. Special attention was given to the integration of the natural environment with the architectural design, which has made this building a world-renowned masterpiece.
The second lecture was dedicated to the Statue of Liberty, one of the most recognizable symbols of the United States. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about its creation, from the French workshops where it was built and the engineering contribution of Gustave Eiffel, to its significance in the history of American immigration and its symbolism of freedom.
The multidisciplinary approach successfully connected art, architecture, physics, engineering, and history, making these topics engaging and accessible to a young audience.
These lectures continued the series on American excellence, through which participants are introduced to some of the most significant achievements in American culture, science, technology, and the arts.

🇺🇸 📌У Америчком кутку Требиње успјешно су одржана два предавања за средњошколце посвећена култним архитектонским и историјским споменицима Сједињених Америчких Држава. Предавања је одржао Славенко Вукасовић, дипломирани инжењер грађевине, који је кроз занимљив и интердисциплинаран приступ приближио ученицима значајне примјере америчке архитектонске и културне баштине.
Прва презентација детаљно је обрадила кућу Fallingwater, једно од најпознатијих дјела архитекте Франка Лојда Рајта, истичући генијалност органске архитектуре и техничке изазове које су носиле њене смјеле конзолне терасе. Посебна пажња посвећена је споју природног окружења и архитектонског рјешења које је ову грађевину учинило свјетски познатим ремек-дјелом.
Друго предавање било је посвећено Кипу слободе, једном од најпрепознатљивијих симбола Сједињених Америчких Држава. Учесници су имали прилику да сазнају више о његовом настанку, од француских радионица и инжењерског доприноса Густава Ајфела до његовог значаја у историји америчке имиграције и симболици слободе.
Мултидисциплинарни приступ темама успјешно је повезао умјетност, архитектуру, физику, инжењерство и историју, приближавајући ове садржаје младој публици на занимљив и приступачан начин.
Овим предавањима настављен је циклус предавања о америчкој изврсности, кроз који се учесницима представљају најзначајнија достигнућа америчке културе, науке, технологије и умјетности.

🇺🇸 📌Амерички кутак у Требињу успјешно је организовао едукативну и интерактивну радионицу под називом „Топ 5 националних паркова у САД“, коју је представила Фулбрајт алумна, Славица Гркавац. Радионица је окупила средњошколце заинтересоване за америчку географију, културу, заштиту животне средине и националне паркове у Сједињеним Америчким Државама.
Током презентације, ученици су се упознали са пет најпознатијих националних паркова у САД: Националним парком Јелоустон, Националним парком Гранд Кањон, Националним парком Јосемити, Националним парком Зајон и Националним парком Велике Димне планине. Кроз занимљиве визуелне приказе, видео-снимке и лична искуства представљене су и објашњене јединствене природне одлике, биодиверзитет, историјски значај и туристичка вриједност сваког парка.
Посебна пажња посвећена је значају заштите животне средине и улози коју национални паркови имају у очувању природног насљеђа. Ученици су активно учествовали у дискусијама, постављали питања о дивљем свијету, клими, планинарској култури и америчким путничким искуствима, те су подијелили своје утиске о парковима који су им били најзанимљивији. Овим предавањем затварамо циклус предавања које смо на тему америчких националних паркова реализовали од јесени прошле до прољећа ове године.

🇺🇸 📌The American Corner in Trebinje successfully hosted an educational and interactive workshop titled “Top 5 National Parks in the USA”, presented by Fulbright alumna Slavica Grkavac. The workshop gathered high school students interested in American geography, culture, environmental protection and national parks in the United States.
During the presentation, students were introduced to five of the most famous national parks in the USA: Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Yosemite National Park, Zion National Park, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Through engaging visuals, videos, and personal insights, the lecturer explained the unique natural features, biodiversity, historical importance, and tourism value of each park.
Special attention was given to the importance of environmental conservation and the role national parks play in protecting natural heritage. Students actively participated in discussions, asked questions about wildlife, climate, hiking culture, and American travel experiences, and shared their impressions of the parks they found most interesting. With this lecture, we are concluding the series of presentations on national parks that we organized from the fall of last year through the spring of this year.

🇺🇸 📌Two workshops focused on artificial intelligence were recently held at the American Corner as part of a broader lecture series dedicated to AI.
The first workshop, “The AI Revolution: Opportunities, Risks, and the Road Ahead,” explored the benefits, challenges, and future impact of artificial intelligence. The second workshop, “Human vs. Machine – Rethinking Intelligence in the Age of AI,” encouraged participants to discuss the relationship between human intelligence and modern AI technologies.
The workshops were led by Marko Supić who provided participants with a deeper understanding of the growing role of AI in today’s world.

🇺🇸 📌U Američkom kutku održane su dvije radionice posvećene vještačkoj inteligenciji, kao dio šireg ciklusa predavanja o AI tehnologijama.
Prva radionica, pod nazivom „The AI Revolution: Opportunities, Risks, and the Road Ahead“, bavila se prednostima, izazovima i budućim uticajem vještačke inteligencije. Druga radionica, „Human vs. Machine – Rethinking Intelligence in the Age of AI“, podstakla je učesnike na razgovor o odnosu ljudske inteligencije i savremenih AI tehnologija.
Predavač na radionicama bio je Marko Supić koji je omogućio učesnicima da steknu dublje razumijevanje sve veće uloge vještačke inteligencije u savremenom društvu.

🇺🇸 📌A lecture by civil engineer Slavenko Vukasović was held at the American Corner in Trebinje for students of the technical school, future architectural technicians. The presentation focused on the construction and significance of two iconic American landmarks—the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State Building.

Vukasović highlighted key engineering challenges and innovations behind these structures, emphasizing their lasting impact on architecture and urban development. The lecture was part of the Freedom250 campaign, promoting “American Innovation and Excellence,” and aimed to inspire students to pursue careers in engineering and design.

🇺🇸 📌Предавање грађевинског инжењера Славенка Вукасовића одржано је у Америчком кутку у Требињу за ученике техничке школе, будуће архитектонске техничаре. Презентација је била посвећена изградњи и значају два иконична америчка објекта — моста Голден Гејт и зграде Емпајер стејт билдинг.

Вукасовић је истакао кључне инжењерске изазове и иновације иза ових грађевина, наглашавајући њихов трајни утицај на архитектуру и урбани развој. Предавање је организовано у оквиру кампање Freedom250, која промовише „америчке иновације и изврсност“, с циљем да инспирише ученике да се определе за каријеру у области инжењерства и дизајна.

🇺🇸 📌An educational workshop was held at the American Corner, led by Fulbright alumna Slavica Grkavac, where high school students learned about the natural beauty and importance of preserving U.S. national parks. The workshop specifically focused on national parks located in the state of Colorado. The interactive session explored their geography, biodiversity, and cultural significance, while encouraging discussion on environmental protection and tourism. The participants showed great interest, actively engaging in discussion, and the role of youth in raising environmental awareness was highlighted. The workshop created an inspiring atmosphere, leaving attendees satisfied and motivated for further learning.

🇺🇸 📌У Америчком кутку одржана је едукативна радионица коју је водила Фулбрајт алумна, Славица Гркавац, на којој су средњошколци имали прилику да науче о природним љепотама и значају очувања националних паркова у Сједињеним Америчким Државама. Радионица је посебно била усмјерена на националне паркове који се налазе у држави Колорадо. Интерактивна сесија обухватила је њихову географију, биодиверзитет и културни значај, уз подстицање дискусије о заштити животне средине и туризму. Учесници су показали велико интересовање, активно учествовали у разговору, а посебно је истакнута улога младих у подизању еколошке свијести. Радионица је протекла у инспиративној атмосфери, остављајући учеснике задовољним и мотивисаним за даље учење.

Radoznali studenti, pametna pitanja i odlični razgovori — ovako izgleda širom Bosne i Hercegovine.

Od razgovora o uzbuđenju zbog FIFA Svjetskog prvenstva sa studentima u Mostaru, do istraživanja diplomatije i međunarodnih odnosa s klubom Model UN-a u Banjoj Luci, dijeljenja kako izgleda jedan radni dan diplomate u Trebinju, do diskusije o historiji domorodačkih naroda Amerike u Zenici — Američki kutci su puni života.

Mlada generacija ovdje je dinamična, promišljena i puna ideja. Uživali smo u svakom trenutku. 🇺🇸🇧🇦

🇺🇸 📌A lecture on “The Most Significant Inventions Originating in the United States” was held at the American Corner, bringing together high school students from Trebinje. The event focused particularly on the invention of the airplane and the pioneering work of the Wright brothers, whose achievement marked a turning point in human history.
The lecture was delivered by civil engineer Slavenko Vukasović, who provided students with an engaging overview of key American innovations and their global impact. Special attention was given to the development of early aviation, highlighting how determination, creativity, and engineering ingenuity led to the first successful powered flight.
This lecture is just one in a series of events dedicated to the theme “American Excellence and Inventions,” which will continue throughout the spring. The program aims to inspire young people to learn more about science, innovation, and the individuals whose ideas have shaped the world.

Предавање је одржао грађевински инжењер Славенко Вукасовић, који је ученицима представио занимљив преглед кључних америчких иновација и њиховог глобалног значаја. Посебна пажња посвећена је развоју ране авијације, уз нагласак на то како су упорност, креативност и инжењерска домишљатост довели до првог успјешног моторног лета.

🇺🇸 📌Fulbright alumna Grkavac Slavica held an engaging workshop at the American Corner for highschoolers from Trebinje. The workshop focused on the nine national parks of California and introduced students to their natural beauty, biodiversity, and importance for environmental protection.
Students learned about famous parks such as Yosemite, Sequoia, and Joshua Tree while exploring their unique landscapes, wildlife, and ecological significance through discussion and interactive activities.
The workshop gave students the opportunity to expand their knowledge about the natural heritage of the United States while practicing their English language skills. Their active participation and curiosity made the session lively and engaging.
This educational event highlighted the importance of environmental awareness and strengthened the connection between the American Corner and local schools.

🇺🇸 📌Фулбрајтова алумна, Гркавац Славица, одржала је занимљиву радионицу у Америчком кутку за Требињске средњошколце. Тема радионице били су национални паркови Kалифорније, којих има девет, а ученици су се упознали са њиховим природним љепотама, биодиверзитетом и значајем за заштиту животне средине.
Ученици су сазнали више о познатим парковима као што су Јосемити, Секвоја и Џошуа Три, истражујући њихове јединствене пејзаже, биљни и животињски свијет, као и њихов еколошки значај кроз разговор и интерактивне активности.
Радионица је ученицима пружила прилику да прошире знање о природном насљеђу Сједињених Америчких Држава, али и да вјежбају енглески језик. Њихово активно учешће и радозналост учинили су радионицу посебно занимљивом.
Овај едукативни догађај нагласио је значај подизања свијести о заштити природе и додатно ојачао сарадњу између Америчког кутка и локалних школа.

🤖 🇺🇸📚 At American Corner Trebinje, we hosted an engaging workshop dedicated to the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its growing impact on our world.
The lecture was delivered by engineer Marko Supić from Trebinje, who introduced participants to the beginnings and development of AI, as well as its potential future. During the workshop, students had the opportunity to learn about the advantages and challenges that come with this rapidly developing technology, and to discuss how AI may influence education, work, and everyday life.
The workshop was attended by students from the Technical School in Trebinje, who showed great interest in this important and timely topic.

Predavanje je održao inženjer Marko Supić iz Trebinja, koji je učesnike upoznao sa počecima razvoja vještačke inteligencije, njenim razvojnim putem, ali i mogućim pravcima njenog budućeg razvoja. Tokom radionice govorilo se o prednostima, ali i izazovima koje donosi ova brzo rastuća tehnologija, kao i o njenom potencijalnom uticaju na obrazovanje, tržište rada i svakodnevni život.
