The Caricom Reparations Commission is celebrating their 10th anniversary.

Special thanks to for this well-written article.

The Caricom Ten Point Plan for Reparatory Justice, developed by the CRC in 2014, has also received significant support from CRC stakeholders.

The Ten-Point Plan for Reparatory Justice that guides the CRC includes the following:

1. A full and formal apology
2. Indigenous Peoples Development Programmes
3. Funding for Repatriation to Africa
4. The Establishment of Cultural Institutions and the Return of Cultural Heritage
5. Assistance in Remedying the Public Health Crisis
6. Education Programmes
7. The Enhancement of Histprical and Culture Knowledge Echanges
8. Psychological Rehabilitation as a result of Transmission of Trauma
9. The Right to Development Through The Use of Technology
10. Debt Cancellation.

Descendants of slaves who lived and worked at Codrington Estates in St John are set to benefit from $18 million in reparations.

This will come from the United Kingdom-based charity United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG) in the form of land, scholarships, and entrepreneurial training.
