ting the middle man, each principal will be able to send alerts to parents and student of their respected informing them of School Closure Alert, Early School Closer Alert, PTA Meeting Alert, Principal Alert, Minister’s Alert, Ministry of Education Alert, Notice Alert
Year Level Meeting Alert and all relevant alerts needed to keep students and parents safe and well informed. Purpose

School Alert is a platform designed for educational institutions to communicate important notices to parents, guardians, students and the wider community. First on the platform is The Ministry of Education Technological and Vocational Training in Barbados who will be piloting the platform on the island.

The Ministry of Educational Transformation has announced that all Government schools and nurseries will reopen on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry, the announcement follows consultations with the Barbados Meteorological Services regarding forecasted weather conditions.

Officials cautioned that some areas of the island may continue to experience rainfall, and certain communities remain particularly vulnerable due to recent flooding.

Parents and guardians are urged to exercise discretion when deciding whether it is safe for children to attend school under current circumstances.

The Ministry of Educational Transformation wishes to advise the public that all schools across the island are open today with the exception of The Alexandra School, which remains closed due to severe flooding after the heavy rainfall experienced yesterday.

The Ministry is actively monitoring the situation on a case-by-case basis and will provide further updates as necessary. We thank the public for their understanding and cooperation. (MEDT)
