The Government of Barbados now has a more efficient and effective process of collecting taxes and increasing revenue through the establishment of the BRA.

The Barbados Revenue Authority was established on April 1, 2014, as a statutory corporation, subsequent to the merger of Barbados’ various tax collecting agencies, including the Inland Revenue and Land Tax Departments, the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Excise Divisions of the Customs and Excise Department.

📢 FATCA & CRS Filing Deadline Extended

The Barbados Revenue Authority has extended the deadline for Reporting Barbados Financial Institutions to submit their FATCA and CRS reports for the 2025 reporting year.

📅 New deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026

⚠️ Institutions that submitted reports between July 23 and August 6, 2026 are required to refile their submissions following updates to the AEOI Portal.

📢 Employers are reminded that the following filing & payment deadlines are due on today, Monday, August 17, 2026 ⏰

• PAYE
• Withholding Taxes
• Car Rental Levy

Payment of:
• Corporation Tax Monthly Prepayments (not applicable to small businesses)

⚠️ Employers who paid employees below the monthly tax threshold of $2,083 and did NOT deduct income tax (PAYE) are still required to submit a PAYE return.

📢 Land Tax Discount Deadlines Extended!

Good news for property owners! You now have two additional weeks to take advantage of the discounts on your 2026–2027 Land Tax bill when paying in person.

💰 10% discount — Pay by August 28, 2026
💰 5% discount — Pay by September 27, 2026

💻 Pay online? You can still enjoy an extended 10% discount until October 13, 2026 through the BRA’s Land Tax Portal.

📍 Bridge Street Mall
📍 Southern Plaza, Oistins
📍 Warrens Tower II
