The workshop will officially launch the BAC's revised accreditation standards, while providing tertiary institutions with the practical tools and insights needed to prepare for, achieve and maintain accredited status.

The Barbados Accreditation Council was pleased to once again be part of St. Michael School’s “Beyond Secondary School” segment of its annual Motivational Seminar for Fifth Year students. 🌟

This year, under the theme “My Future, My Focus,” our Quality Assurance Officer, Cassandra Earle-Hazell engaged with students on the value of the BAC’s Recognition Services and the importance of making informed choices about their education.

Students were reminded to verify with the BAC that an institution and its programmes are recognised or accredited before applying or enrolling — an important step in protecting their time, investment and future. 🎓

The Barbados Accreditation Council recently presented the Insurance Institute of Barbados (IIB) with a Certificate of Programme Accreditation following the successful re-accreditation of its 'Barbados Diploma in Insurance'.

The programme is accredited for the 2026–2031 period, recognising the IIB's continued alignment with established standards for post-secondary and tertiary education.

Congratulations to the IIB on this milestone!👏🏽

We look forward to seeing the Institute continue to build on this accomplishment and support the development of professionals in Barbados’ insurance sector.
