What a day! ❤️💛

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out, supported, volunteered and helped to make our St. Philip West Back to School Pampering Day such a tremendous success! 🎒✨

This year we recorded our largest turnout in the three years of hosting the initiative, with children and families from across the community joining us for a fun-filled day of pampering, laughter, games and plenty of treats.

A special thank you to our barbers and hair braiders, to Diana Loleta - The Spa for the massages, Dione and Arielle for the pedicures, and to the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust Charitable Trust for their generous support. And of course, we couldn’t leave out the Frosteez Ice Cream ice creams!🍦😄

To my entire St. Philip West team and everyone who gave their time, talents and support — thank you! This is what community is all about. ❤️

As our children return to the classroom, I extend my very best wishes to each and every one of you. May this school year be safe, enjoyable and filled with opportunities to learn, grow and succeed.

Go forward with confidence, work hard and always put your best foot forward! 📚🌟

They say 100 years is not 100 days, and yesterday, I could not have been more honoured to join the family and friends of Ms. Velverteen Jones as she celebrated the remarkable milestone of her 100th birthday! 🎉💐

What a wonderful blessing to celebrate a century of life! 100 years of memories, experiences, family and love!

Barbados can proudly boast of having many of our elders reach this extraordinary milestone, and Ms. Jones joins the distinguished ranks of our nation’s centenarians.

I continue to extend my warmest wishes to Ms. Jones and pray that God’s grace and blessings remain with her as she continues to enjoy life surrounded by love, joy and family.

Happy 100th Birthday, Ms. Jones! 🎂💐🎉

I was happy to once again support the Walrond Bring Back the Love Community Group as they hosted their annual Prize-Giving Ceremony. Now in its third year, this initiative continues to recognise, celebrate and encourage the achievements of our children and young people and I am proud to have contributed for a second year.

I commend the team for their continued investment in our young people and for creating spaces where their hard work and achievements are celebrated.

As I reflected with the students, I shared a simple message, the school you attend does not define who you are. What matters is what you do when you get there. Make the most of every opportunity, believe in yourself, work hard and continue striving towards your dreams and aspirations.

To all our students, keep believing, keep learning and keep striving for greatness. Your best is yet to come!

From Small Steps to Big Achievements!

It was a joy to celebrate with the graduating Class of 2026 of St. Martin's Mangrove Primary School as they marked this important milestone.

Congratulations to each student, to the parents, teachers, and everyone who has supported them along the way. Your hard work, determination, and encouragement have helped lay the foundation for bright futures.

As these young graduates take their next steps, I wish them every success. Keep believing in yourselves, keep reaching higher, and remember that every big achievement begins with small steps.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers and father figures who lead with love, sacrifice and strength.

Whether through the lessons you teach or the values you instill, your impact shapes our homes, our communities and our future.

To every father in St. Philip West and across Barbados, thank you for your dedication, your guidance and your unwavering love.

We see you. We appreciate you. We celebrate you!!

A special moment as I received a signed copy of Carrie Lanz's first book.

Carrie, a social worker and resident of our constituency, is passionate about strengthening family relationships and supporting healthier communities. We had a meaningful discussion about the importance of building strong family connections and exploring ways we can work together to support families in our area.

Congratulations, Carrie, on this achievement. I look forward to seeing the positive impact your work and your book will have on the lives of many.

Safety and security matter deeply to every household.
In my contribution to the Budget debate, I welcomed these measures that remove taxes on key home and personal security systems, making it easier for families to protect what matters most.
Government is doing its part to support safer communities, and each of us must do ours to safeguard our homes and our lives.

Yesterday in Parliament, I lent my voice to the debate on behalf of the residents of St. Philip West, particularly those in the Lowthers and St. Martins/Harlington communities, as I advocated for the development of our playing fields and the need for proper pavilion facilities.

The er****on of pavilions is an important investment in our people, youth development, and community wellbeing.

I remain committed to ensuring that St. Philip West receives the resources and attention it deserves and I will continue to advocate strongly for the improvements that will benefit the constituency!

Today during the Estimates Debate, I had the opportunity to raise concerns on behalf of the people of Farm Gardens. It was encouraging to hear that work will continue in the community, particularly to rectify the remaining housing affected by asbestos impacting those residents. I look forward to continuing to advocate on their behalf to ensure this matter is fully resolved.

Additionally, it was also confirmed that the steps to ensure the issuances of conveyances in this same community will be settled in sort order.

St. Philip West, will always remain at the centre of my advocacy. I am committed to working closely with the Ministry of Housing, Maintenance and Lands to ensure that your lives are improved and that our communities continue to be better!

To my incredible team, I thank you! 🙏🏽

This victory belongs to all of us. To every volunteer who walked, made calls, organised, encouraged, prayed, strategised and stuck with me from day one, I am deeply grateful. Your commitment, energy and belief carried this campaign across the finish line!

A very special thank you to the captain of the ship, whose steady leadership and strategic direction ensured we stayed focused and united. Your guidance made the difference, and I am truly appreciative.

Because of this team effort, I have the honour of serving once again as the Member of Parliament for St. Philip West and I do not take that responsibility lightly. The work continues!

We had an amazing time celebrating and yes… more footage to follow from our night of celebration 🎶🎤

From the bottom of my heart, thank you, St. Philip West. ❤️
You will always be my community at the core and the people at the centre!!
