📚💙 BACK-TO-SCHOOL PREP: PLANNING WEEK! 💙📚
August 30 – September 5
Parents, this one is for us! 😅 While teachers prepare academically, our assignment is getting the household ready. A little planning now can save a whole lot of confusion next week, so activate the Parent Command Centre! 📋😂
🚌 Transportation: Confirm bus/shuttle schedules, routes, departure times and drop-off/pick-up arrangements.
📱 Stay Connected: Exit last year’s PTA WhatsApp class group and join the correct one. Parent Reps, please introduce yourselves!
🥪 Lunch Plans: Stock up on healthy lunch/snack options that align with the school’s nutritional policy. If buying lunch, decide how allowances will work and budget at least $10 per day. Remember, long lunch lines can take up valuable break time.
🏠 After School: Who’s collecting? Taking the bus? Staying for activities? Most extracurricular activities begin around Week 2, but start planning now.
📚 Create a home for the books! Clear bookshelf space for new textbooks and supplies so they’re easy to find AND put back. Because we ain’t want to hear: “Mummy… I CAN’T FIND MY BOOK!” 😩😂
☎️ Make emergency/contact information easily accessible.
👔 Get uniforms, shoes, bags and supplies organised.
