A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Every author dreams of the moment when their words take their place in history. Today, that dream has become a reality for first-time author Shawna J. A. Carter.

Her poetry collection, Becoming, has officially been deposited with the National Library Service Reference Department through the legal deposit process, ensuring that this meaningful work will be preserved as part of the nation's literary heritage.

Becoming is a thoughtful collection that explores love, faith, self-discovery, and personal growth. Through reflective and deeply personal poems, Carter invites readers to embrace life's uncertainties and recognize that becoming is an ongoing journey rather than a final destination.

This achievement represents more than the publication of a book. It is a significant contribution to the cultural and intellectual record, ensuring that future generations will have access to this work.

From manuscript to publication, and now to official archival preservation, this legal deposit marks an important chapter in Shawna J. A. Carter's author journey.

Congratulations to Shawna J. A. Carter on this remarkable accomplishment. May Becoming continue to inspire readers and encourage meaningful reflection for years to come.
