This is what world-class looks like. 🇧🇧🌎

WorldSkills Shanghai brought together excellence in skills from across the globe and the 246 was proudly represented! Kudos to Team Barbados and the TVET Council, which leads Barbados WorldSkills under the Ministry of Technological and Vocational Training, for its continued work in advancing skills development and keeping Barbados connected to global standards of excellence.

A special salute to Dario Walcott, Technical Director for Barbados WorldSkills and Competitions Committee Delegate Lead to WorldSkills, as he marks 10 years of service with WorldSkills. His dedication, work ethic and commitment to excellence make him a true STARR Bajan⭐.️

The Barbados delegation also included Minister of Technological and Vocational Training, The Honourable Sandra Husbands; Permanent Secretary Patrick McCaskie; and NTI Director, Dr. The Honourable Allyson Leacock.

To see Barbados represented on a stage like this, and to see the work happening behind the scenes to get us there, is something we are so proud of.

🧠💜 When memory changes, how do we make sure dignity doesn’t?

We spoke with Dr. Evangeline Inniss-Springer, President of the Barbados Alzheimer’s Association, who shared a powerful reminder: a person is still a person, regardless of their memory.

Respect is not something to be earned. It is a fundamental right. And sometimes, one of the most meaningful ways we can support someone living with dementia is through patience, compassion and love.

💜 Treat the person, not just the condition.

🛡️This episode had Monkey trying to build a security guard's confidence!

Today's guest? A tired security guard who passed the interview and got the job 😭

Monkey had to remind him that everyone makes mistakes, but the important thing is to keep going and believe in yourself. 💪🏽

Need a confidence boost too? Check out NTI's Confidence Mastery Course: Unleash Your Hidden Potential.
