🌾✨ Celebrating the resilience and strength of rural women and girls on this International Day for Rural Women 2023! 🌍👩‍🌾

GCA project has commemorated this day through a series of events across the five upazilas – Koyra, Dacope, Paikgacha, Shyamnagar, and Assasuni – within our project area.

As a key initiative aligned with the project's objectives, is actively supporting rural women and girls by promoting climate-adaptive livelihoods. By empowering women beneficiaries, the project aims to enhance the adaptive capacities of coastal agricultural communities.

Additionally, GCA project is implementing rainwater harvesting systems in the project area. This initiative ensures gender-responsive access to year-round safe drinking water for targeted households. This not only empowers women and girls but also allows them to reinvest time and cost savings, along with health co-benefits, into improving livelihoods and seizing educational and income-generating opportunities.
