ছেলেমহলে বন্ধু-বান্ধবের আড্ডায়, অফিসে, কিংবা স্কুলের ছোট্ট ছেলেটাও কোনো না কোনোভাবে বডি শেমিংয়ের শিকার হচ্ছে। পুরুষের মতো পুরুষ হতে হলে লম্বা - সুঠাম হতে হবে, নাহয় সে "মোটা খাসি / শুঁটকি / বাট্টু" সহ আরো কতো কি।মেয়েদের তুলনায় ছেলে মহলে শারীরিক গঠন নিয়ে মজা তামাশা করা এতটাই স্বাভাবিক ভাবে মিশে গেছে যে, এটাকে বন্ধুত্বের বহিঃপ্রকাশ হিসেবে ধরে নেয়া হয়। কিন্তু ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের আয়োজিত একটি সার্ভেতে দেখা গেছে যে ৫৭% বিভিন্ন বয়সের ছেলে/পুরুষেরা তাদের শারীরিক গঠন নিয়ে গোপনে হীনমন্যতায় ভুগে। তাছাড়া ক্যারিয়ার গড়ার চাপ তো আছেই।
এই হিপোক্রেসি বন্ধ করতে হবে। একটি ছেলে নিজের বন্ধুমহলেও নিজের শরীর নিয়ে অনবরত হাসির পাত্র হতে থাকবে? এসব আর নয়।
