# আমাকে ৬ নাম্বার কাউন্টারে দিয়েছিলো আমি যাই নাই, যতক্ষন ভিতরে ছিলাম শুধু খেয়াল রাখছিলাম কে ভিসা দিতেছে কে না, নাম্বারে ছিলো বল্ড অফিসার আর উনি খুব রাগ করে সবার সাথে কথা বলছিলো, এবং কাউন্টার প্রশ্ন করছিলো, ত আমি পানি খাওয়ার কথা বলে বাইরে চলে যাই এবং কিছু সময় পর ১১ তে এসে নিজ থেকে দাড়াই। Aktar Zaman ভাইকে ধন্যবাদ গ্রুপ টির জন্য, অনেকে গ্রুপের কমেন্টে মানুষ ডি মোটিভেট করে এগুলা ঠিক না, আর ভিসা রেশিও কম বা বেশি বলে কিছু আছে বলে আমার জানা নাই, আমি মাত্র একদিনের প্রস্তুতিতে ইন্টারভিউ দেওয়াতে যাই, ডেট নাই ব্রকার কে টাকা দিয়ে (১৫-২৪) অথবা এক সপ্তাহ হাতে রাখার জন্য বল্লেও ৭ তারিখ আমাকে বলে ৮ তারিখ ইন্টারভিউ, এবং ডেট কনফ্রাম, রিসিডিউল করা যাবে না, ইন্টারভিউ দিলে দাও নইলে টাকা মাইর আবার এম্বাসি ফি দিয়ে পরে ডেট নিতে হবে যাই হোক, আমি যতক্ষন ছিলাম খেয়াল করলাম যে যারা কনফিডেন্টলি আনসার করছে তাদের ভিসা দিচ্ছে। সব কিছু ঠিকঠাক থাকলে ইনশাল্লাহ ভিসা পেয়ে যাবেন।

(By this time he had dropped my passport in the tray)
VO: ohh! Why Washington University of Science and Technology?
Me: WUST is what fits right with my long-term goals it has engineering, business as well as design.
VO: How do you plan to fund the entire duration of your education?
Me: I told him about my fund…….!!
Vo: Okay, and what's plans after graduation?
Me: Once I complete my graduation, I would like to move to Bangladesh, as Bangladesh is a Developing country and there have lots of IT industries developing in Bangladesh so I can easily manage my job as an IT manager with a handsome salary of approximately 2000$-3000$.

American Visa Interview Experience

It was my 2nd attempt

Visa interview : 30 October

Time:, 08:15 am

Counter no: (06)(Bald guy)

Status : approved ✅

School name: Youngstown state University

Programme : Bachelors

Major: computer science

When I sat inside the embassy with my fingers crossed, I was chanting Allah in my heart and noticed which counter was giving more visas. Then I saw the bald guy at counter-06 giving more visa and he was asking small questions while looking at the documents.Right then I decided that anyway I will give the interview at counter-06. After reading for a while they asked me to go to counter-08, I told them that I was rejected from counter-08 earlier, this time I am standing here (06). Actually I am Last time I was rejected by an African lady at counter-10

A girl was interviewing before me, but she couldn't answer academic questions very well, she couldn't even say the location of the university, but when vo asked about the sponsor, she explained very well and got the visa, seeing this gave me confidence.

Me: Good Morning sir!

Vo: Pass me your i-20 & passport and DS confirmation

Me: Sure, here it is.

Vo: So, you are going to youngstown state University. did you applied other University?

I was going to speak very quickly at first, he stopped me and said, young man, speak slowly otherwise I will not understand you

Me:sorry sir, I have applied another two university.they are, Wright State University dayton,ohio,,,Minnesota state University, mankato, Minnesota.

Vo: why you choose these University?

Me: actually sir,these university are engineering focus University and they offer me same course and their facilities alomost same which are need my major, Moreover, these universities offer scholarships to those who apply here

VO: Why not go to the University of Minnesota?

me: actually sir,it’s for two reason, first of all student dormitory, which are not mandatory for bachelor students in minnesota state University and second was Weather, one of my senior from College currently studying Minnesota state University and he inform me that Minnesotas Weather Very cold,so it’s not suitable for me to cope up with this environment

VO: don't you know about the weather when you applied to Minnesota?

Me:To be honest sir, I was looking for an engineering university at that time.

Vo: why you choose youngstown state University?

Me: I choose this University for several reason.it’s a public and research base University that i really want to go,their BSC Department well reputed in Midwest. This university offfered well developed course curriculum with wide rang of knowledge and undergraduate research Centre for flexible research specially in my major in computer science. I get 3k schoolarship from this University.this university have well equipped lab,library and big campus and their tution fee also reasonable,.appart from that entertainment is mandatory things for me and this University have huge sports complex and cultural clubs also with professional artist this attracted me a lot,that's why i choose this University

Vo: Do you take Ielts?

Me: No sir,I take Duolingo and my score was 120

VO: The total cost of your I20 is 22 thousand dollars, how will you manage this?

Me: my father is a doctor and he will bear all of expenses duration my studies in USA

VO: what kind of doctor? and explain his income source

Me: my father is a pediatrician and child disease specialist.(and told all of our income source)

VO: do you have any bank statement?

Me: yes sir,and i gave my Bank statement to visa officer.

Vo: what's your father monthly income

Me: it’s around 7k usd dollar

Vo: what’s your mother?

Me: my mother is a High school teacher,she teaches cumilla women College

Vo: Do you have any siblings

Me: I have only one sister,she reads in class three

Vo: Do you have any travel history?

Me: yes sir,i travelled india for visiting purpose

Vo: Do you have any car?

Me: Yes sir,we have two car,one for my father and one for my family

After that he didn't ask me any more questions but I was very nervous, I felt that he doubted that I was applying without knowing about the weather, so I wanted to say more about the weather by myself, but he pointed and forbade me to say anything

Then he gave me all my documents along with a blue leaflet and said congratulations I am approving your visa. I said thank you sir, you made my day

VO: Fine. (He didn't give good vibes) Pass your passport and I-20.
Me: here you go.
VO: why did you choose Computer science?
ME: sir, basically I am interested in things like software and hardware. It is the most popular branch of engineering. Also it is one of the most visible industries in the world today.there are so many success stories of people who choosed this major.( He stopped me while saying the last sentence)
VO: What are your courses?
ME: the modules in computer science are (blah blah blah)
VO: What do you have to do if you want to graduate from this university? ( I'm confused about this question, I couldn't hear this properly even though he repeated the question )
ME: I have to study attentively.
VO: Do you have any brother or sister?
ME: Yes sir. I have one elder brother
VO: is he doing business or what?
Me: he is currently studying at the North south university.
VO: did you take IELTS test?
Me: yes sir, I took IELTS test and I got an overall score of 6.5.
VO: How will you pay your tuition fees and expenses?
Me: As my father is sponsoring me. My father is going to pay all of my expenses.
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is a businessman. He has his own business of Automatic bricks and ceramics.
VO: what?? Ceramics?
Me: yes sir.
VO: what does he make? Is it like home decorating things?
Me: yes sir, like jars and other goods. Actually home decorating items.
VO: How many workers are there?
ME: there are like 100-120 workers.
VO: then he took some time and said okay sorry I am refusing your visa, here you can see the reason.

Documents Carried: all educational certificates, all identification certificates, all job related certificates ( NOC, Experience Certificates, Appointment Letters, Salary Certificates, Leave Certificate), A letter from my sponsor, so on.

US Visa Rejection: 2 times for Tourist Visa in the year 2017 and 2018 (I applied with a fresh passport)

My hands and feet were shaking while entering the gate!
I saw minimum 20 rejections within that time.
I was so nervous and afraid.

Me: Here you go!
VO: Why you choose this university?
Me:First of all, This is a public university which established on 1887 and the university value is above average nationwide.
Basically I choose this university because I got 50% merit based scholarship from this institution.
From my research I found that the student life over there is very colourful and the teachers are very cooperative and the teacher student ration of this university is 1:15 which is also a great opportunity for a student.
Moreover the research area is also very good for graduate students and the alumni job getting ratio is also very high.

VO: Did you apply to any other university?
Me: Yes

VO: Why didn’t you choose that university?
Me: Because I didn’t get any scholarship from that university.

VO: Do you have any baby?
Me: No. I am divorced.

VO: Tell me something about your Remote Sensing Experience.
Me: (I wasn’t ready for that question.)
I did my internship in SPARRSO which is Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organisation where I worked as a researcher and our project was on River Erosion. We collected all data from satellite images and then classified them using different machine learning algorithms.
SPARRSO selected six persons for that internship program from our institution and I was one of them.

Me: My father is my Sponsor.

VO: What does he do?
Me: My father is a retired govt. officer. But now he is a landlord.
He is the owner of 22 residential flats which are around 800sqft including one 3 storied building and one 4 storied building on 0.14 Acres area just beside Nagar Bhaban of …….
He also has one shop on 0.0087 acres area.
He has a firm house including 5.2 Acres cultivation land where he has a local dairy firm. He also has 3 fisheries on 4.2 Acres area and a orchard including around 2800 Matured Mehagani Trees on 0.26 acres area.
He is owner of another 5.2 acres cultivation land and so on.

(VO listened carefully and didn’t interrupt)

VO: Do you have any siblings?
Me: Yes! I have two brothers and one sister.

VO: what does they do?
Me: My elder brother is a computer engineer. He is US citizen. He is 15 years older than me. ( Wanted to show his passport, but VO smiled and said no need to show it)
My elder sister is 14 years older than me and she is a house-wife but his husband is deputy secretary of LGRD ministry. And my younger brother is a businessman and he is 12 years older than me.

VO smiled and pretended to give me a white paper( rejection paper) but then he gave me the blue leaflet and congratulate me with a big smile.

VO listened all my words carefully!

I am sharing my experience elaborately because I believe it will help others to get prepared.

Suggestion:
Be Transparent and Confident .
Do not provide any fake information in DS-160 form.
Because they will judge you by your given informations.
My realisation is “ they select eligible candidates before the interview “ then they took the interview to make sure that you’re eligible.

N.B:⛔ You must notice your gesture, way of talking, eye contact.

👉Be confident

নার্ভাস হয়ে গেলেই ওরা বুঝে যায়।তখন ভিসা পাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা খুব কম থাকে।

আর যারা প্রশ্ন করেন যে ভিসার রেশিও কেমন তাদের উদ্দেশ্য একটা কথাই বলবো ভিসার রেশিও ভালো বা খারাপ এটা জেনে আপনি কি করবেন?এতো নেগেটিভ চিন্তা নিয়ে চলতে পারবেন না।পুরো Interview টা ডিপেন্ড করে আপনার নিজের প্রেজেন্টেশন এর উপরে।আপনার ভিসা হওয়া বা না হওয়াতে ভিসা অফিসারের কোন হাত নেই।

Ds-160 ফর্ম যেভাবে ফিলাপ করেছেন সেই অনুযায়ী Interview তে বলতে হবে।কারণ ওদের কাছে থাকে শুধু আপনার ds-160 & I-20 ফর্ম।এর বাইরে কিছু বললে ওরা রিজেক্ট করে দেয়।আর আপনি এই দুটোর বাইরে যে যে ইনফরমেশন তাদের বলবেন তারা তা বুঝবে না।কারণ তারা এ সম্পর্কে তেমন কিছু জানবে না।কিন্তু চুপ করে থাকলে হবে না।কথা বলতে হবে।আপনি প্রশ্নের উত্তর না জানলেও বুঝতে দিবেন না যে আপনি জানেন না উত্তরটা।আপনি বলে আসবেন।
