Football for All: Celebrating Youth, Inclusion and the Power of Sport ⚽🇨🇦
The High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh was delighted to host Football for All today at the Australian International School, in Dhaka, in partnership with the Bangladesh Football Federation and Khar Nights.
With Canada co-hosting for the the FIFA World Cup™ 2026, we had so much fun playing with local kids and the women`s national team to brings people together, build confidence, inspire leadership, encourage teamwork, and promote inclusion.
Under the theme of building more inclusive societies, the day brought together people from all segments of society, including children, parents, football leaders, disadvantaged youth, minority and indigenous groups, media representatives, members of the diplomatic community, as well as players from the Bangladesh Women’s National Football Team. Through fun activities and shared experiences, participants demonstrated the unique ability of football to connect people across backgrounds and generations. This was so much more than what happened on the pitch.
Speaking at the event, High Commissioner H.E. Ajit Singh said, “As a proud co-host of the FIFA World Cup™ 2026, Canada is committed to promoting the positive impact of football beyond the tournament by fostering inclusion, leadership and community engagement. Through initiatives like Football for All, Canada continues to invest in youth, strengthen community connections and celebrate the unifying power of sport.”
Football for All reflects Canada's commitment to creating positive social impact through sport, strengthening Canada–Bangladesh people-to-people connections, and supporting young people to grow, thrive and reach their full potential.
A big thank you to the Bangladesh Football Federation, our partners, participants and guests for helping make the day such a success and for celebrating the power of football to bring people together.
