🎨🏭 Berger Paints expands its footprint with a new investment at the National Special Economic Zone!
BEZA has signed a Land Lease Agreement (LLA) with Jenson & Nicholson Packaging Limited, a Berger Paints group company, for 6.34 acres of land at the National Special Economic Zone. 📑🤝
The company will invest USD 13.70 million, creating around 600 new jobs 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️ while manufacturing high-quality rigid plastic pails, food-grade and industrial packaging, metal packaging, and other products to strengthen Berger Paints' backward integration.
🌟 This investment builds on Berger Paints' growing presence in the National Special Economic Zone, where the company has already secured 40 acres for its paint manufacturing facility, with production expected to begin soon.

Two more major industrial investments at National Special Economic Zone (NSEZ)!

Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has signed Land Lease Agreements (LLA) with Golden Oil Mills Limited and Delta API Limited.

🌱 Golden Oil Mills will invest approximately USD 52.8 million to produce food, frozen food, ice cream, specialty oils and fats, packaging, and electronics, creating around 6,000 jobs.

💊 Delta API Limited will invest approximately USD 12.3 million to establish a modern Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) manufacturing plant, which will further strengthen the country’s pharmaceutical industry and create around 200 new jobs.

BEZA continues to work tirelessly to open new horizons for domestic industrialization, employment, and investment. 🇧🇩

🌱 গোল্ডেন অয়েল মিলস প্রায় ৫২.৮ মিলিয়ন মার্কিন ডলার বিনিয়োগে খাদ্য, ফ্রোজেন ফুড, আইসক্রিম, বিশেষায়িত তেল ও ফ্যাটস, প্যাকেজিং এবং ইলেকট্রনিক্স উৎপাদন করবে, যেখানে সৃষ্টি হবে প্রায় ৬,০০০ কর্মসংস্থান।

A new milestone in sustainable manufacturing in Bangladesh!

Asian Paints Bangladesh Limited (APBL) has inaugurated an 850 kWp rooftop solar power project at its manufacturing facility in the National Special Economic Zone (NSEZ), Chattogram under BEZA.

The project is expected to generate around 1,440 MWh of clean energy annually and reduce approximately 724 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year. It will also help lower energy costs by 20-25% and reduce grid dependency by up to 70% during peak daytime operations.

Implemented across 7,000 square meters of rooftop space under an OPEX model, the project delivers immediate environmental and financial benefits without requiring upfront capital investment.

This initiative reflects APBL’s commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible industrial growth, while supporting Bangladesh’s transition toward renewable energy and climate-resilient industrialization.

Asian Paints has been operating in the National Special Economic Zone since 2021 and remains one of the zone’s leading manufacturing investors.
