আজ মঙ্গলবার সকাল ১১:৩০ ঘটিকায় বাংলাদেশ সচিবালয়স্থ সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ে মাননীয় সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী জনাব নিতাই রায় চৌধুরী এম.পি. এর সাথে বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত চীনের রাষ্ট্রদূত এইচ. ই. মি. ইয়াও ওয়েন (H.E. Mr. YAO WEN) এক সৌজন্য সাক্ষাতে মিলিত হন। এই বৈঠকে সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাননীয় প্রতিমন্ত্রী জনাব আলী নেওয়াজ মাহমুদ খৈয়ম এম.পি., সচিব মিজ্ কানিজ মাওলা এবং যুগ্মসচিব মিজ্ ইলিয়া সুমনা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এছাড়া চীনা প্রতিনিধি দলে রাষ্ট্রদূতের সাথে অংশ নেন চীন দূতাবাসের কালচারাল কাউন্সিলর মি. লি শাওপেং (Mr. LI SHAOPENG) এবং তৃতীয় সচিব মি. সিয়া দাওজিং (Mr. XIA Daojing)।
বৈঠকের শুরুতেই মাননীয় সংস্কৃতি মন্ত্রী ও প্রতিমন্ত্রী মহোদয় চীনা রাষ্ট্রদূত এবং তাঁর প্রতিনিধি দলকে উষ্ণ অভ্যর্থনা জানান। এ সময় গত ৫ থেকে ১১ জুলাই ২০২৬ তারিখে সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাননীয় প্রতিমন্ত্রীর নেতৃত্বে বাংলাদেশ প্রতিনিধি দলের চীন সফরকালে প্রদান করা চমৎকার আতিথেয়তা ও আন্তরিক সহযোগিতার জন্য চীনা সরকার, আনহুই প্রদেশের ভাইস গভর্নর এবং মাসান (Ma'anshan) সিটির মেয়রের প্রতি বিশেষ ধন্যবাদ ও কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করা হয়।
বৈঠকে সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাননীয় প্রতিমন্ত্রীর সাম্প্রতিক চীন সফরের আলোকে দুই দেশের সমৃদ্ধ অংশীদারিত্ব ও পারস্পরিক সহযোগিতার মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী সাংস্কৃতিক খাতসমূহকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করার বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়। এর অংশ হিসেবে চীনের আনহুই প্রদেশের উহু (Wuhu) শহরের বিখ্যাত ও ঐতিহ্যবাহী 'আইরন পেইন্টিং' (Iron Painting)-এর ওপর সোনারগাঁও লোক ও কারুশিল্প ফাউন্ডেশনের কারিগরদের চীনা অভিজ্ঞ চীনা মাস্টার ক্রাফটসম্যানদের প্রত্যক্ষ তত্ত্বাবধানে বিশেষ প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদানের বিষয়ে সিদ্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয়। পাশাপাশি বিশ্বকমি রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর ও জাতীয় কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের কালজয়ী সাহিত্যকর্মসমূহ চীনা ভাষায় এবং চীনের বিখ্যাত কবি লি বাই (Li Bai)-এর সাহিত্যকর্ম বাংলা ভাষায় অনুবাদের লক্ষ্যে একটি স্থায়ী 'যৌথ অনুবাদ ও গবেষণা সেল' (Joint Translation and Research Cell) গঠনের গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরা হয়।
এছাড়া চীনের ঐতিহ্যবাহী ‘কিংইয়াং অপেরা’ (Qingyang Opera)-র আদলে বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী গ্রামীণ যাত্রাপালাকে আধুনিকায়ন করা এবং দেশের প্রতিটি জেলায় প্রশিক্ষিত যাত্রাদল গঠনের বিষয়ে ফলপ্রসূ আলোচনা হয়। বাংলাদেশের প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক নিদর্শন সংরক্ষণ ও ব্যবস্থাপনার আধুনিকায়নে চীনের লিংজিয়াতান (Lingjiatan) প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক স্থান ও আনহুই প্রোভিন্সিয়াল মিউজিয়ামের আদলে মহাস্থানগড়, পাহাড়পুর, ময়নামতি এবং লালবাগ কেল্লায় ৩ডি ম্যাপিং (3D Mapping), এআর/ভিআর (AR/VR) ডিসপ্লে ও বৈজ্ঞানিক সংরক্ষণ প্রযুক্তি প্রয়োগের বিষয়ে চীনা সহযোগিতার কথা বলা হয়। কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা (AI) ও 'Voice-to-Text' প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহাসিক দলিলপত্র ও ক্ষুদ্র নৃগোষ্ঠীর ভাষার সাহিত্য ডিজিটালাইজড ও সংরক্ষণ করার পাশাপাশি আনহুই নরমাল ইউনিভার্সিটিতে সমাপ্য 'আর্কাইভস অ্যান্ড লাইব্রেরি ম্যানেজমেন্ট' প্রশিক্ষণের মতো নিয়মিত উন্নত প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচি চালুর আহ্বান জানানো হয়। সর্বোপরি, বেইজিংস্থ বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাসে একটি শক্তিশালী 'কালচারাল উইং' স্থাপন ও দ্বিপাক্ষিক সাংস্কৃতিক সমঝোতা স্মারক (MoU) আধুনিকায়নের অঙ্গীকারের মধ্য দিয়ে অত্যন্ত সৌহার্দ্যপূর্ণ পরিবেশে বৈঠকটি শেষ হয়।
Chinese Ambassador Calls on Cultural Affairs Minister: Emphasis Placed on Expanding Bilateral Cultural Exchange and Joint Initiatives

His Excellency Mr. YAO WEN, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Minister for Cultural Affairs, Mr. Nitai Roy Chowdhury, MP, today at 11:30 AM at the Bangladesh Secretariat. The high-level meeting was attended by the Honorable State Minister for Cultural Affairs, Mr. Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayam, MP, Secretary Ms. Kaniz Maula, and Joint Secretary Ms. Ilia Sumna. The Chinese delegation accompanying the Ambassador included Cultural Counselor Mr. LI SHAOPENG and Third Secretary Mr. XIA Daojing from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Dhaka.
At the outset of the meeting, the Honorable Minister and State Minister extended a warm welcome to the Chinese Ambassador and his delegation. Special thanks and heartfelt gratitude were conveyed to the Government of China, the Vice Governor of Anhui Province, and the Mayor of Ma'anshan City for their extraordinary hospitality during the official visit of the Bangladesh delegation led by the Honorable State Minister to Anhui Province from July 5–11, 2026.
Building upon the insights from the State Minister’s recent official visit, detailed discussions were held regarding bilateral collaboration to enhance and modernize Bangladesh's cultural heritage. Under a joint initiative, Bangladeshi artisans—particularly from the Sonargaon Folk Art and Crafts Foundation—will receive specialized hands-on training in the historic Wuhu Iron Painting of Anhui Province under the direct supervision of Chinese master craftsmen. Furthermore, both sides emphasized establishing a permanent 'Joint Translation and Research Cell' to translate the works of Chinese poet Li Bai into Bengali, and the literary masterpieces of World Poet Rabindranath Tagore and National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam into Chinese.
The discussions also focused on modernizing Bangladesh's traditional folk Jatra art inspired by China's Qingyang Opera and forming trained performing teams in every district. To upgrade Bangladesh's archaeological preservation, scientific conservation methodologies, 3D mapping, and AR/VR displays will be introduced at Mahasthangarh, Paharpur, Mainamati, and Lalbagh Fort, modeled after the Lingjiatan Archaeological Site and Anhui Provincial Museum. In addition, the agenda covered the preservation of historical documents and indigenous languages using Artificial Intelligence and Voice-to-Text technology, the continuation of annual capacity-building training at Anhui Normal University, securing Chinese support to establish a dedicated 'Cultural Wing' at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Beijing, and modernizing the existing bilateral Cultural Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
