The IUT Alumni Association (IUTAA) wants to state its stance on behalf of all the alumni regarding the ongoing situation LOUD & CLEAR- 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐔𝐓 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐔𝐓𝐀𝐀) 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐈𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒.
Assalam Walaikum,
This is to inform that given the ongoing situation and growing concerns raised by the Present IUTians; the IUT Alumni Association has called for an urgent extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on 27 November at 10:00 PM. The EGM was massively responded to with IUTians across the world, from all batches. Current IUTians and recent graduates across different batches & departments were also present in the meeting.
Opinions and concerns, along with immediate and short-term action plans were shared. After reviewing all the points from the recent graduates and current students, the IUT Alumni Association (IUTAA) wants to state its stance on behalf of all the alumni regarding the ongoing situation LOUD & CLEAR- 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐔𝐓 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐔𝐓𝐀𝐀) 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐈𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒. The IUT Alumni Association always advocates for a non-violent resolution and immediate implementation of all logical demands of the present students for the overall betterment of the students, the environment, and the progress of IUT.
Furthermore, IUTAA strongly condemns the inappropriate and disrespectful behavior demonstrated by few faculty members, as well as the unacceptable remarks made by various officials following the tragic incident. IUTAA firmly believes that the current administration has failed to address the concerns of the students and to maintain their trust, resulting in a significant negative impact on the environment and progress of IUT. In light of this, 𝐈𝐔𝐓𝐀𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒.
