On 13 August 2026, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Sadiqur Rahman, Regiment Commander, Karnaphuli Regiment, Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), paid a courtesy call on Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, University of Chittagong, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration), University of Chittagong.

During the courtesy call, the dignitaries exchanged pleasantries and discussed matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on the ongoing academic and administrative activities of the University of Chittagong and their continued progress.

The Honourable Vice-Chancellor warmly welcomed the Regiment Commander and expressed his appreciation for the visit. In response, the Regiment Commander commended the University’s continued progress in its academic activities and infrastructural development, and conveyed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Honourable Vice-Chancellor for his cooperation and support.

The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with both sides expressing their commitment to maintaining continued cooperation and strengthening institutional ties in the days ahead. CU BNCC Army Wing Conducts Humanitarian and Community Service Activities

On 13 August 2026, the Army Wing of Chittagong University BNCC successfully organised a series of humanitarian and community oriented activities, including a Voluntary Blood Donation Programme, Dengue Awareness Rally, Cleanliness Drive and Tree Plantation Programme.

The initiatives were inaugurated by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Sadiqur Rahman, PPM(S), psc, Artillery, Regiment Commander, Karnaphuli Regiment, whose presence encouraged and inspired the participating cadets throughout the activities.

At 1400 hours, the CU BNCC Army Wing conducted the Tree Plantation Programme, Dengue Awareness Rally and Cleanliness Drive with the participation of BNCC cadets and distinguished guests. The initiatives aimed to promote compassion, public awareness, environmental responsibility and a spirit of service among the cadets and the wider university community.

The Regiment Commander was accompanied by Lieutenant Md. Rakib (X), BN, Acting Battalion Adjutant; 2/Lieutenant Professor Dr. Bayezid Mahmud Khan, BNCCO, Coordination Officer, CU BNCC and Company Commander, A Company; and 2/Lieutenant Professor Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain, BNCCO, Company Commander, B Company, 11 BNCC Battalion. Also present were PUO Dr. Ahsanul Kabir Palash, CU BNCC Naval Wing; PUO Dr. Zahirul Qayum and PUO Farhana Rumjhum Bhuiyan CU BNCC Air Wing.

Through the collective efforts of the distinguished guests, officers, PUOs and cadets, all activities were carried out successfully in a disciplined yet warm and spirited atmosphere, reflecting the core values of service, responsibility and community engagement upheld by BNCC.

At the conclusion of the programme, the Regiment Commander presented commemorative gifts to the participating cadets, acknowledging their enthusiasm and dedication, and formally brought the day’s activities to a close.

CU BNCC Army Wing Performs Duties at the 36th Senate Session of the University of Chittagong

On 08 August 2026, Saturday, the University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing was deployed in support of the 36th Senate Session of the University of Chittagong, with the objective of maintaining overall order and discipline throughout the proceedings. A total of 16 smartly turned-out and disciplined cadets of the Wing participated in the assigned duties.

The cadets were entrusted with protocol assistance to the distinguished members of the Senate, traffic management, and other responsibilities associated with maintaining a disciplined and orderly environment throughout the programme. Their professional conduct, prompt response, and disciplined ex*****on of assigned responsibilities were highly appreciated by the concerned authorities and attendees.

The successful discharge of duties reflects the discipline, commitment, and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the cadets of the University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing. The Wing remains committed to extending disciplined and professional support to university programmes and institutional activities whenever called upon.

University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing Performs Duty During July Mass Uprising Day Observance

On 05 August 2026, the University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing successfully performed duties in maintaining overall discipline and order during the Rally and Discussion Programme organized by the University of Chittagong Administration in observance of July Mass Uprising Day.

The programme was graced by Honourable State Minister for the Ministry of Land and the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, MP, as the Chief Guest. The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chittagong, Professor Dr. Al-Forkan, while Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor (Administration), attended as the Special Guest, and Professor Dr. Al-Amin, Vice-Chancellor (Academic), presided over the programme.

University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing Supports Drawing Competition Organised by the University of Chittagong

On 04 August 2026, the University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing extended its support to the Drawing Competition organised by the University of Chittagong in observance of the July Mass Uprising.

Held at 1100 hours at the CUCSU Centre, the programme was conducted in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere. Throughout the event, BNCC cadets assisted in maintaining a well-organised and welcoming environment, ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme.

The competition brought together 140 child participants from the CU Laboratory High School, WUS Primary School, and Nipobon Bidyaniketon, whose creativity and enthusiasm added colour to the occasion. The event was honoured by the presence of the Honourable Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chittagong, Professor Dr. Al-Forkan; Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Dr. Al-Amin; and Proctor, Professor Dr. Hossain Shahid Suhrawardy, along with other distinguished guests.

Inspired by the spirit of the July Mass Uprising, the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) remains committed to serving the nation with discipline, dedication, and integrity, while continuing to contribute to the vision of building a just, inclusive, and discrimination-free Bangladesh.

CU BNCC Army Wing Conducts Monthly Small Arms Firing Practice

On 25 July 2026, the Monthly Small Arms Firing Practice of the 11 BNCC Battalion was successfully conducted at the Shaheed M. R. Chowdhury Firing Range, Chattogram Cantonment, reaffirming the Karnaphuli Regiment's commitment to maintaining and enhancing the operational proficiency of BNCC cadets.

The exercise brought together 140 cadets from the 11 BNCC Battalion, 14 BNCC Battalion, 52 BNCC Flotilla, and 57 BNCC Squadron. The firing programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Sadiqur Rahman, PPM(S), psc, Artillery, Regiment Commander of the Karnaphuli Regiment, who served as the Firing Officer-in-Charge (OIC).

Key appointments during the exercise included 2/Lieutenant Professor Dr Ismail Hossain, BNCCO, Officer Commanding, B Company, University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing, who served as the Security Officer, and PUO Dr Liton Mitra, who was appointed Results Recording Officer, overseeing the accurate recording, verification, and evaluation of firing scores throughout the exercise.

The University of Chittagong BNCC Army Wing fielded the largest contingent, comprising 10 cadets, reflecting the unit's steadfast commitment to military excellence, discipline, and professional development.

Regular live-firing exercises of this nature are fundamental to developing cadets' marksmanship, weapon-handling proficiency, and fire discipline. Such training further enhances tactical competence, operational readiness, and overall military professionalism, ensuring that BNCC cadets continue to uphold the highest standards of military training and service.

Cadets of the BNCC Army Wing, University of Chittagong participate in the Bangladesh Army Annual Summer Exercise - 2026

Cadets of the Chittagong University BNCC Army Wing actively participated in the Bangladesh Army Annual Summer Exercise -2026, which commenced on 05 July 2026. As part of this large-scale field exercise, seven dedicated cadets of the Chittagong University BNCC Army Wing underwent intensive military training alongside Bangladesh Army personnel, practising a wide range of fieldcraft and tactical operations, including prolonged field encampment under adverse weather conditions, bunker construction, obstacle and ambush, raid operations, and other combat tactics.

During this year's Annual Summer Exercise, the cadets were deployed with the 24 Infantry Division in the rugged hilly terrain of the Nazirhat–Fatikchhari region of Chattogram, while another contingent conducted operations alongside the 7 Independent Air Defence Artillery Brigade (7 AD Bde) in the disaster-prone areas of Banshkhali, South Chattogram. The exercise provided invaluable exposure to realistic operational environments and enhanced the cadets' tactical proficiency, endurance, and military preparedness.

Conducted amidst some of the heaviest rainfall in recent memory, the unwavering commitment, resilience, and perseverance demonstrated by the cadets throughout the exercise stand as a testament to their patriotism, discipline, and steadfast dedication to the service of the nation.

CU BNCC Army Wing Extends Support to CUCSU Medical Camp

On Thursday, 2 July 2026, the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) organized a free medical camp exclusively for the female students of the University.

In support of this commendable initiative, five cadets from the Chittagong University BNCC Army Wing were deployed to facilitate the smooth conduct of the programme. The cadets remained entrusted with maintaining discipline and order while extending necessary assistance to the beneficiaries throughout the event.

On Monday, 29 June 2026, a delegation of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), University of Chittagong, paid separate courtesy calls on the newly appointed Hon'ble Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Amin, and Hon'ble Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam.

On behalf of the University of Chittagong BNCC, the Coordinating Officer, 2nd Lieutenant Professor Dr. Bayezid Mahmud Khan, conveyed his warm felicitations and presented floral tributes to the distinguished Pro-Vice Chancellors, extending heartfelt congratulations on their recent appointments.

The delegation was accompanied by PUO Dr. Sohag Miah of the Army Wing, PUO Dr. Ahsanul Kabir Palash of the Naval Wing, PUO Dr. Jahirul Kaiyum and PUO Farhana Rumjhum Bhuiyan of air wing , Deputy Registrar Mr. Rasel Paul, and Section Officer Mr. Nishat Mitra. The Pro-Vice Chancellors took keen interest in the operational and developmental affairs of the University of Chittagong BNCC and were apprised of several matters of mutual importance. Reaffirming the University's steadfast commitment to the continued advancement of BNCC initiatives, they assured the delegation of their full support and cooperation.
