Courtesy Call by Regiment Commander, Karnaphuli Regiment, on Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University
On 13 August 2026, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Sadiqur Rahman, Regiment Commander, Karnaphuli Regiment, Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), paid a courtesy call on Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, University of Chittagong, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration), University of Chittagong.
During the courtesy call, the dignitaries exchanged pleasantries and discussed matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on the ongoing academic and administrative activities of the University of Chittagong and their continued progress.
The Honourable Vice-Chancellor warmly welcomed the Regiment Commander and expressed his appreciation for the visit. In response, the Regiment Commander commended the University’s continued progress in its academic activities and infrastructural development, and conveyed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Honourable Vice-Chancellor for his cooperation and support.
The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with both sides expressing their commitment to maintaining continued cooperation and strengthening institutional ties in the days ahead. Also present during the meeting were 2/Lieutenant Professor Dr. Bayezid Mahmud Khan, Coordination Officer, CU BNCC; 2/Lieutenant Professor Dr. Mohammad Ismail Hossain, BNCCO, CU BNCC Army Wing; and PUO Professor Dr. Mohammad Zahirul Qayum, Head, CU BNCC Air Wing.
