Subtotal petrosectomy done in RMCH with limited facilities. The unfortunate patient had a dead ear and facial nerve palsy following ear surgery 20 yrs back. He presents with discharging postaural sinus. Exploration of the mastoid reveals a huge recurrent choleateatoma, exposed sigmoid sinus and dural plate, damaged(absent) facial nerve from 1st genu to 2nd genu, no ossicles, open oval window, poorly saucerized cavity and no meatoplasty done. So blind sac closure of the EAC and obliteration of the middle ear and mastoid with abdominal fat was done after complete removal of disease and adequate saucerization. Patient is doing well postoperatively.

Huge multinodular goitre operated in RMCH, in the Dept of ENT, The surgical team was leaded by Dr. Subrata Ghosh and anaesthetist was Dr Khizir Hossain. Both the recurrent laryngeal nerves and parathyroids were preserved. Thanks to Almighty that the patient is doing well.
