About us

MISSION To establish a sustainable social action program in order to ensure road safety incorporating the co-operation and participation of government, civil society, foreign donners, non-government organizations, business community and common people at a large. VISION Creation of arrangements and mechanism for ensuring road safety free from all types of accidents.Creation of arrangements and mechanism for ensuring road safety free from all types of accidents. WORK WITH ANOTHER ORIGINATION Established in 1st december 1993 after the sad demise of jahanara kanchan wife of renowned film artist ilias kanchan on the 22nd october,1993. A non-profitable, non-political, voluntary organization.to the well being of the people of bangladesh irrespective of caste, creed & religion. WHO WE ARE? NIRAPAD SHARAK CHAI (NISCHA) is a non-profit, non-political, voluntary social organization dedicated to the well being of the people of Bangladesh irrespective of caste, creed and religion. We work to ensure safe roads throughout the country. It comprises of around 15000 members within the 70 branches spread throughout the entire country.

NIRAPAD SHARAK CHAI has now taken the shape of a popular movement in the country. The organization came into being on the 1st December, 1993 after the sad demise of Jahanara Kanchan, wife of renowned film artist Ilias Kanchan on the 22nd October, 1993. NISCHA is a member of the National Road Safety Council of Bangladesh along Ministry of Communication, BRAC, BUET-Accident Research Institute and other relevant government and non-government bodies. NISCHA is also one of the agencies working along WHO to ensure the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety. Central Executive Members Committee (CEMC): The CEMC is the Chief functionary of the organization. It makes plan, implement, supervise & submit reports & audited balance sheet to AGM of the General body. The CEMC is comprised of 09 (nine) members with the Chairman as its Chief Executive Officer. The CEMC members list is also submitted at the NGO affairs Bureau under the Prime Minister’s Office according to current government regulations. CEMC members are chosen from all walks of life among the pioneer & intellectual citizens from the country who can set good examples of a model citizen and motivate and aware people about Safe Road Usage.

Role of CEMC members: Implementing the organizational activities in an objective manner. Approving branch committees at regional level and ensuring their good practice. Finding out the root causes of the issue, relevant parties and counterparts, consequences and the remedy thereof. Making and ensuring whole-hearted participation of the common people in each and every intervention of the organization. Raising critical & functional awareness regarding the issue Promoting sustainable initiatives on the issue. Expanding quality management for the effective implementation of the ‘NIRAPAD SARAK CHAI” program. Promoting mutual relationship between the organization and other national & international bodies. Working as a learning body. Building & maintaining networks to share experience and enhance capacity.
