Just a quick message to answer the messages that we received.
Luckily our shop in de Ardennes (Aldringen) is fine and safe from the fire.
But we have lots of smoke.
We will check our stock that we keep there if it has smoke damage and see if we can still sell it or call it a total loss.
Luckily it is re-enactment clothing so we hope we can still be able to sell it and people don't mind a little smoky smell.
But even then it is just a small issue...
We stand by all the people that had to leave their houses and the firefighters, police, farmers and volunteers that work day and night, risk their lives to fight the fire. We hope everything is under control soon.

Due to new European packaging law (PPWR) shipping outside of Belgium will come with extra costs and lots of extra paper work.
And like normal, the new rules are different each country and at this point almost impossible to follow or understand.
Any mistake will be charged with high fines, so we can not take any risk at this point.
We are lookig for solutions to continue shipping, but at this point we had to close all international shipping options.
Europe is really shoking all small businesses...
We will only ship inside Belgium for now.

Door een nieuwe Europese packing regelgeving betreffende verzendingen buiten België (PPWR) zullen deze verzendingen een extra kost aangerekend worden. Hierdoor stijgen de prijzen alweer, en bezorgd ons een massa papierwerk, en de regels veranderen per land.
Het zou Europa niet zijn als de nieuwe wetging ook enorm omslachtig is, en er geen duidelijke regel bestaat.
De kans dat we iets over het hoofd zien, of er zich een vergissing voordoet zal bestraft worden met enorm hoge boetes.
We bekijken onze opties en gaan zien wat mogelijk is.
Maar voorlopig hebben we alle verzendingen buiten België uitgeschakeld.
Europa trekt de strop rond de nek van de kleine bedrijven bij deze nog strakker aan.
We zullen dus voorlopig enkel bestellingen binnen België verzenden.

Today we finally made some time to blow the dust off this project. "The Baugnez jeep"
Now the body is completely dismantled and separated from the chassis!
The body is a GPW, and chassis is willys. But appeared to be a wartime modification because all the bolts were the original US size, and not metric like you see on post war modifications.
Now we will strip the chassis and bring everything to the sand blaster.
The rear tub has a lot of rust, so it will be a welding project 😅.
We will post updates, but it will take time. 😉

Finally we managed to re-locate the legg attachments on our shop shelter!
Now we are able to lift it off and on our trailer with ease 😎.
And I got a free morning shower when one of the profiles appeared to be filled with water when I drilled a hole in it 💦😅.
