On 28 October 2025, it will be exactly nine years since the Riffian fish vendor Mohsin Fikri was crushed in the compactor of a garbage truck in Al Hoceima after he climbed into the truck to retrieve fish that had been confiscated by the Moroccan police.

On May 7, 1926, the peace negotiations between the Riffian government and the French and Spanish colonial powers came to an end. These negotiations had started on April 17, 1926, and took place in the city of Oujda. The Riffian government was represented by the following negotiators: Mohamed Azarkan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and head of the Riffian delegation; Haddou Ben Hammou Lakhal, responsible for General Affairs, diplomacy, and communication with France; and Mohamed mmis n Rḥadj Cheddi, the second highest official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after Azarkan and a close adviser to the president of the Rif Republic, Mohamed Abdelkrim Khattabi... 👇

Hussain Bellagrache, known by his stage name Rifinox, was born on March 3, 1993, in the town of Azghenghan in the Rif. From a young age, he started writing poetry. In 2011 he began rapping. Most of his songs were connected to the Riffian identity. Over time, he became an important voice for the Amazigh movement among young people in the Rif and in the diaspora. Through his music, he fought for the Amazigh identity and its right to exist.

Events followed quickly. At the end of 2014, he released several strong songs, including “Azzogh” (I Want) and “Azul” (Hello/Good day). In the following year, 2015, he continued his music career and released more popular songs such as “Asgwas Amaynu” (Amazigh New Year) and “Tamzi” (Youth Years). ...👇
