➡️Last week was full of Western Balkans and the 🇪🇺 enlargement process here at Think Visegrad in Brussels ❕

🗣Researchers Tomas Strazay from Slovak Foreign Policy Association, Tomek Zornaczuk from Polski Instytut Spraw Międzynarodowych - PISM, Jana Juzová from EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, Ferenc Németh from Magyar Külügyi Intézet / Hungarian Institute of International Affairs and Žiga Faktor from EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy had the pleasure to visit the European Parliament 🇪🇺 to discuss the topic of enlargement process in Western Balkans with a Slovakian MEP Vladimír Bilčík.

🧠On Wednesday, we and Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) organised an expert roundtable named "The Western Balkans' EU perspective: new impetus through normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations and inter-regional cooperation?", during which the participants exchanged views on the current state of the both intra and inter-regional cooperation.

On Monday 27 March, EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy - Brussels Office, Think Visegrad Platform and International Republican Institute (IRI)’s Beacon Project in cooperation with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty organised an event in Brussels entitled “ Shaping our Digital Future: Tackling Disinformation in the EU, case of Central and Eastern Europe”.

The programme started with a keynote speech by Věra Jourová, Vice-President of the European Commission, Commissioner for Values and Transparency.

This was followed by opening presentations by the organizers:

🟦 Chris Holzen, Resident Program Director, IRI’s Beacon Project

This month the Think Visegrad platform in cooperation with the Project of the European Centre for Excellence organized an event titled “AI Act: Regulating the regulated?”. The discussion focused on the currently proposed legislation on the regulation of Artificial Intelligence. Among the speakers, we welcomed representatives of the European Commission and European Parliament as well as experts from private and academic spheres.
