Football players at the men’s World Cup get breaks to cool down because of extreme heat.

But what about the builders working under the sun? The fruit pickers harvesting in 40°C heat? The bus drivers keeping our cities moving?

Heat-related workplace deaths in Europe have risen 42% since 2000. More than in any other region of the world.

Cooling breaks, water, shade and adapted working hours are common-sense measures. They should be a right for every worker, not a privilege.

Too many employers still refuse to put in place precautionary measures. That is why the European Commission must introduce binding legislation on maximum working temperatures and make cooling breaks a legal right.

Footballers deserve it. But every other worker in Europe deserves it too.

Resistance is everywhere.

From neighbours blocking deportation vans in Glasgow, to migrants winning regularisation in Spain, to rescue missions in the Mediterranean and refugee-led solidarity networks, people are not giving up. They are organising to defend dignity, freedom and life.

Because when those in power fail to protect human dignity, resistance is not a choice. It becomes a duty.

You're the one who starts the whatsapp group. You organise the protest, design the IG story, write the caption, chase the journalists, and somehow still make it to the after-work drinks.

You have a million ideas before breakfast and can't resist turning them into action.

Then you might be our next Campaigner.

If you have experience in digital campaigning, political communications, social media strategy and grassroots mobilisation, we want to hear from you.

On World Refugee Day this Saturday, we cannot ignore what happened last Wednesday in the European Parliament.

With the support of the EPP, the far right, and the complicity of liberals, Parliament voted on the Deportation Regulation, a step towards a migration system built on detention, deportation, and externalisation.

They are trying to normalise the detention of children and families, the outsourcing of EU responsibilities to third countries, and the expansion of a system that treats migrants as a threat.

This is the construction of a Europe of camps, external borders without accountability, and deals that risk bypassing human rights.

The Left rejects this. We will continue to stand with refugees, migrants, and all those defending human rights against this authoritarian turn. We will always resist.

You buy a game, the company takes your money and then one day it switches the game off.

1.3 million Europeans asked the European Commission to protect consumers. Its answer? “No.”

That’s not enough. Solutions already exist: offline modes, community-run servers, and other ways to preserve access to purchased games.

So why is the European Commission protecting corporate interests more than consumers' rights?

Tag Commissioners and and ask them.

Cuba is facing a severe humanitarian crisis.

Decades of US sanctions and the recent tightening of restrictions have contributed to shortages of fuel, food, medicine, and other essential goods, putting immense pressure on daily life across the island.

Yet despite this decades long blockade the resilience of the Cuban people has never been dimmed.

The continued economic pressure on Cuba has a real human cost. The people are paying the price.

Today, the far right, with the help of the conservatives, pushed through the Deportation Regulation in the European Parliament.

This is a shame for Europe. They are ushering in a period of fear, exclusion, raids and deportation.

We will keep fighting.
We will keep resisting.

A better world is always possible to win.

They won’t do this in our name.
Stop the deportations.

Frontex made a children's book about deportation. A book to lie to children that their deportation is normal. Packaging state violence in pastel colours, is still state violence.

No amount of illustrations makes deportations child-safe.

So we made our own version.

The only child-safe answer is: no deportations.

Donald Trump celebrated his 80th birthday with a cage match on the White House lawn. The EU thanked him on his masterful diplomacy skills with Iran.

What is there to celebrate? A trade deal where the EU gets 10% tariffs and the US gets a free ride? An ongoing genocide in Gaza? Yet another forever war waged by the United States?

There’s nothing to celebrate.

The Left is the only democratic opposition to Trump’s terrorism.

Today in the LIBE committee members of the European Parliament voted on the Return Regulation. But we actually call it what it is: deportation.

The conservatives teamed up with the far-right for this cruel and inhuman legislation. They celebrate and cheer ICE-style raids, tearing families apart and mass deportations.

We refuse this kind of Europe. A Europe that locks children up. A Europe that deports. A Europe that abandons its own values.

The Left will continue to fight, to speak out, and to resist.

Stop the deportations.
