European Women Rectors Association European Women Rectors Association-EWORA is a full-fledged international non-profit association established in Brussels under Belgian Law in December 2015.

As the women academics' under-representation at top levels of decision making is still among the most critical issues in higher education, the experiences of women in higher educational administration were examined and the strategies that have been used to improve the inclusion of women at this level were discussed in the Women Rectors Conferences. Analysis and comparison of different internationa

l practices and policies were considered important by the participants as the major tools of achieving these objectives. EWORA is founded in order to transform this institutional potential to reality in addressing gender-based structural inequality, especially with regard to academic leadership.
