๐ŸŽ™ We are pleased to share that the second of the Scenario Exploration System on Circular Economy Futures was well delivered in Pontevedra, Spain as a pre-workshop of the 10th International and the 15th Conference of the European Society of Ecological Economics. The workshop was delivered as part of the ExPliCit project, funded by Horizon Europe programme.

๐Ÿ”ญ The participants were taking on different societal roles (business, civil society, policy maker, consumer organisation and public opinion) in the context of the region Galicia. They were engaged in a and systemic experience thanks to the and gaming tool โ€“ Scenario Exploration System, imagining different plausible pathways to .

The online event's purpose was to ceremonially launch the outcomes of a 2-year and journey, the four alternative and plausible pathways to how can look like in 2055 within a broader socio-economic context. ๐Ÿ“Œ ABIS and Turun yliopisto - University of Turku are collaborating to deliver the Biodiversity Respectful Leadership Summer School, a series of for business practitioners interested in related themes, running from August 28th until September 12th, every Tuesday and Thursday for 1,5 hours at 16.00 CEST.

๐ŸŽ™ The Summer School will provide participants with the contributions of leading academic experts on biodiversity respectful . The webinars will tackle topics on the connections between biodiversity and business, and the actionable findings to lead a biodiversity respectful in business.

This week ABIS delivered another output for Exploring Plausible Circular Futures (ExPliCit) , funded under the MSCA Staff programme.

โ™ป We organised a "Exploring Circular Economy Futures", welcoming participants from different professional backgrounds ( and , , , ) introducing them to the Scenario Exploration System (SES). This serious gaming and tool engaged participants in a forward looking and systemic experience of exploring alternative plausible futures, while taking on various ' and utilising their own experiences into drawing relevant actions in 10, 20 and 30 years that would contribute to the deployment of CE futures.

๐Ÿ“Š The insights and data collected from the workshop will be used and analysed, creating the next deliverable of the project.

๐Ÿ’ก The participants shared that it was an enriching and learning experience, enhancing a cross-sectorial reflection on the which our society may desire to move towards.

๐Ÿ” The workshop will involve a wide set of , discussing implications in terms of organisation of production and distribution , relying on the Circular Economy edition of the Scenario Exploration System, an award-winning tool that ABIS has been championing.

The success of a could be measured by a long lasting positive on society, environment, economy and science.

โœ’๏ธ The willingness to keep the connections strong with the consortium members and follow up on the project's objectives even after the funding ends was very strong among the "Realising the Transition towards Circular Economy" (ReTraCE) project partners.

โ™ป๏ธ Together, we decided to set up the Circular Economy Research Club (CERCL), a member governed association dedicated to furthering and teaching on the . Its aims include:
๐Ÿ” Promoting interdisciplinary discourse and research
๐Ÿค Fostering joint grant applications and exchange projects
๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ Promoting in the circular economy
๐Ÿ‘“ Offering services on a non-pro t or pro-bono basis
