Using data from our latest Liberal Intelligence survey, we found that this year, the USA has entered the top three perceived threats to the EU, while Russia remains one of Europe's biggest concerns.

Canada’s Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney will join this year’s State of the Union in Strasbourg, a powerful signal that Europe and Canada are moving closer.

With the Trump administration imposing illegal tariffs and belittling long-time allies, we need reliable partners who can keep their word. The EU and Canada already stand together on Ukraine, but there is much more we can achieve on trade, investment and defence, while strengthening our partnership based on trust, not threats.

The opportunity is here. Let’s seize it!

In just a few days, Icelanders will vote on whether to restart negotiations on joining the European, a decision that could shape the country’s future.

We stand proudly with our member party Viðreisn and their leader Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, who continue to fight for a strong and pro-European vision for Iceland.

In a world of growing uncertainty, a stronger and more united Europe matters more than ever.

35 YEARS OF A FREE AND INDEPENDENT UKRAINE 🇺🇦

35 years after Ukraine restored its independence, we celebrate freedom and stand with those defending it every day.

Ukraine’s fight is Europe’s fight too. It must have the resources it needs to defend its people, its sovereignty and its future.

Ukraine must remain free. Ukraine must win. As liberals, we stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.

On Ukraine’s Independence Day, we stand united with the Ukrainian people. Their fight for freedom and democracy is our fight.

As liberals, we remain clear: there can be no compromise on Ukraine's sovereignty and no reward for Russian aggression. We stand with Ukraine until victory and lasting peace are secured.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Siim Kallas, former Prime Minister of Estonia and European Commission Vice-President.

A committed liberal and European, he was founder of our member party Reformierakond and played a defining role in shaping modern Estonia and its place in Europe.
