Last week EPP - European People's Party hosted the First Associations Forum!

We had the chance to exchange views with Dolors Montserrat and Mairead McGuinness on the challenges and opportunities shaping Europe’s future, focusing on the social and economic priorities across our Union.
The Forum was also a moment to connect with fellow EPP associations, strengthen cooperation, and share ideas on how we can amplify our work together across Europe.
Grateful for the insights, the energy, and the commitment shown by everyone present.
Looking forward to building on this momentum! 💪🇪🇺

A great evening in Brussels!

Together with keynote speaker Klaus Welle, we explored the future of Europe’s middle class in a time of rapid change.
With introductions by cd&v Secretary-General Frederiek Vermeulen and EPP - European People's Party President Manfred Weber, and a strong panel of MEPs Niclas Herbst, Paulius Saudargas and Sirpa Pietikäinen, moderated by our EUCDW Secretary-General Liesbet Sommen, we discussed the challenges and opportunities ahead.
We closed with inspiring reflections from EUCDW President Dennis Radtke.

Een interessant debat georganiseerd door EUCDW en CD&V over de aanpak van de lagere middenklasse en de rol van de politieke partijen

Last night we hosted a keynote of Klaus Welle and a panel debat with MEP Niclas Herbst, MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen and MEP Paulius Saudargas at EPP - European People's Party. We are proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing the discussion on sustainable and socially inclusive growth, centred on the everyday realities of Europeans. Protecting people’s jobs, health and families remains essential. Our President MEP Dennis Radtke and our Secretary-General Liesbet Sommen will keep the debate alive.

Samen met CD&V nodigen we je graag uit voor een keynotelezing op woensdag 4 februari op het EVP-partijhoofdkwartier in de Lounge.
Onze spreker, Klaus Welle, Voorzitter van de Academic Council van het Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies en voormalig Secretaris-generaal van het Europees Parlement, zal ingaan op belangrijke politieke en maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen in Europa wat betreft de middenklasse. Aansluitend volgt een gesprek met Europarlementsleden uit de EVP-fractie over de grote uitdagingen voor de Europese middenklasse vandaag.

EUCDW and CD&V warmly invite you to join on Wednesday, 4 February for a keynote lecture at the EPP Headquarters Lounge in Brussels.

🎤 Our keynote speaker, Klaus Welle, Chair of the Academic Council at the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies and former Secretary General of the European Parliament, will explore key political and social trends shaping Europe today. The session will include a discussion with Members of the European Parliament from the EPP Group on major challenges facing Europe’s middle class: geopolitical instability, slow economic growth, and cultural tensions.
