With Vestland fylkeskommune hosting a joint North Sea Commission and CPMR Baltic Sea Commission event on regional security and preparedness on 21 April, we would like to start introducing the distinguished guests that will be making up the panel.
All preparedness is place-based. It happens in municipalities, ports, energy hubs and regions. Regions are uniquely positioned to see the full picture – where civilian infrastructure, industry, local communities and military activity meet. This event will bring together political leadership, defence representatives, researchers, project experts, and European regional offices, the ambition is to strengthen regional and maritime security, societal resilience, and cooperation in practice.

We are pleased to announce that moderating the panel will be Mr Audun Lysbakken, director of the Vest-Norges Brusselkontor / West Norway Office in Brussels. With a substantial political history in Norway, he will be able to bring a lot of insight to the stage. Stay tuned, as we will be sharing the panellists next week!
