Košice Region has opened its office in Brussels in 2004, after the accession of Slovakia to the EU. For several years , Košice Region has been a leading partner of the House of Slovak Regions (HSR) project. After the Slovak regions have decided to close the operation of the HSR, the liaison office of the Košice Region has moved its premises to its current location at Square de Meeûs 1.
