The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Philippines, Voka - Chamber of Commerce West Flanders, and the Belgian-Luxembourg Filipino Business Chamber (BFBC), in partnership with the Philippine Embassy in Belgium, the Embassy of Belgium in Manila, Flanders Investment and Trade, Reurasia, Digital Bakery, Belgian Pork Group and Osta, are organizing the event BelFil Business Bridge: Three Ways into Asia’s Rising Market.

The event aims to provide Belgian companies, especially SMEs from (West) Flanders, with a discussion on the economic outlook and bilateral trade opportunities in the Philippines, as well as practical cases and concrete insights on exporting to, investing in, and importing from the Philippines.

As the Free Trade Agreement between the Philippines and the European Union is in its final stages of negotiation, the market outlook in one of the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia is expected to become even more attractive.

The Philippine Embassy in Brussels invites Overseas Filipinos to attend the 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 (𝗥𝗧𝗕𝘀) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀 scheduled from 𝟮 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟮 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. The sessions are organized by the Bureau of the Treasury.

The primary goal of the online sessions is to inform participants about the features, benefits, and available investment platforms of the RTBs. RTBs are peso-denominated, low-risk, fixed-income investments that provide interest every quarter. They are part of the National Government’s savings mobilization program designed to enhance retail access to government securities. Proceeds from the issuance are directed to financing the Republic’s priority projects and key national expenditures as approved by the National Budget.

The observance of IHL Day aims to promote greater understanding of and respect for International Humanitarian Law among government institutions, the broader public, and other stakeholders.
