Strong communities are the backbone of a democratic Europe.

Today at the , the focus turned to building resilience in Europe’s eastern border regions.

True resilience means investing in communities and people by encouraging quality job creation, strengthening public service and social dialogue and increasing cross-border cooperation.

On International Day Against Child Labour, we want to remember the millions of children who still have to pick up tools and go to work instead of opening a book at school.

In a world where deregulation is the main EU policy buzzword, let’s celebrate strong regulations that make our world a fairer and better place, and push for stronger policies to end child labour everywhere.
