The Civil Society Organisations' Group is one of the three groups of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), a consultative body of the European Union, representing the voice of organised civil society.

Europe's future livestock strategy must be built around the people who produce food. We must give farmers tools to invest, innovate and remain competitive, and budget to support a sustainable transition. Imported products must meet same standards.

If our Policy Makers, are serious about avoiding Carbon Leakage and meeting the growing Global demand for top quality and safe Meat Proteins, then EU livestock farmers need to be supported and encouraged to reverse the continuous downward trend and start rebuilding Livestock numbers.

✅ A reinforced partnership principle
