📢 New study: Democracy and youth civic space

Youth civic space is shrinking across Europe.

The study looks at how restrictions on freedom of expression, association, assembly and information affect young people and youth organisations.

The findings show declining opportunities for youth advocacy and participation in decision making between 2019, 2021 and 2025.

Protecting youth civic space means protecting democracy. 🗳️

ACCESS is a long-term blended learning programme supporting local action on young people’s social rights.

Local teams of 2 to 3 participants from the same municipality, city, or community are invited to apply. Each team needs to include at least one representative of a local or regional authority.

📅 Application deadline: 19 July 2026

Start from a concrete local action addressing barriers to young people’s social rights, and apply through the call for participants.
