ብራስልስ በሚገኘው የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ ጳጉሜን 3 "የጽናት ቀን" በደማቅ ሁኔታ ተከበረ!

በቤልጂየም ብራስልስ በሚገኘው የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ ጳጉሜን 3 2018 ዓ.ም. "የጽናት ቀን" በደማቅ ሁኔታ ተከብሯል፡፡ በክብረ-በዓሉ ጽናት ማለት አልሸነፍ ባይነት፣ በፈተናዎችና በችግር ውስጥ ተስፋን ሰንቆ የተጀመረውን ሁለንተናዊ የለውጥ ጉዞ በጥንካሬ ማስቀጠል መሆኑ ተነስቷል፡፡

የኤምባሲው አመራሮችና ሠራተኞች ለሀገረ-መንግሥቱ ዘላቂነትና ሉዓላዊነት ሲሉ ውድ ሕይወታቸውን የከፈሉ ጀግኖቻችንን ታሪካዊ መስዋዕትነት በከፍተኛ አገራዊ ክብር ዘክረዋል፡፡ ሌት ተቀን በጽናት በመቆም ሀገርን ከጠላት ለመጠበቅ በቁርጠኝነት ለሚደክሙት ብርቱ የፀጥታ ኃይሎችም ታላቅ አክብሮትና ምስጋና ቀርቧል፡፡ የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ መዝሙር በመዘመር ሰንደቅ-ዓላማ የመስቀል ተግባር ተከናውኗል።

በመጨረሻም በመጪው አዲስ አመት ከወትሮው በላቀ ሁኔታ የሀገርን ገጽታ ለመገንባት፣ ብሔራዊ ጥቅምን ለማስከበርና ለዜጎች ቀልጣፋ አገልግሎት ለመስጠት በቅንነት፣ በታማኝነትና በሙሉ አቅም ማገልገል አስፈላጊ መሆኑ መልዕክት ተላልፎ ፕሮግራሙ ተጠናቋል።

ትናንት “ኢትዮጵያ ተነሥታለች” ስንል ምኞት ሳይሆን ዛሬ በተጨባጭ ያረጋገጥነው እውነት ነው! ከታላቁ ሕዳሴ ግድብ ማማ እስከ ዘመናዊው የኮሪደር ልማት፣ ከቢሾፍቱ ሜጋ አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ እስከ ማክሮ ኢኮኖሚ ሪፎርም ድረስ ሀገራዊ መነቃቃታችን በተግባር ተመስክሯል። ይህ ለውጥ በዜጎቻችን የኑሮ ደረጃ፣ በከተሞች መዘመንና የሥራ ዕድል ላይ እውነተኛ ብርሃን ከመሆኑም በላይ ለልጆቻችን የነገ ብሩህ ተስፋን የሚሰንቅ ታላቅ ርዕይ ነው። ከእንግዲህ ወደኋላ አንመለስም! በጀመርነው ታሪካዊ የማንሠራራት ጉዞ የልማት ኃይላችንን ይበልጥ በማፋጠን የኢትዮጵያን ትንሣኤ ወደ ዘላቂ ብልጽግና ከፍ እናደርጋለን።

H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun held courtesy meeting with H.E. Ambassador Luke Feeney

Ambassador Eshete held discussion with Ambassador H.E.Ambassador Feeney, Ireland’s Permanent Representative to the EU Political and Security Committee on 4 September 2026. The two Ambassadors exchanged views on Ethiopia – Ireland bilateral relations, regional and global issues of mutual interests.

H.E. Ambassador Eshete highlighted Ethiopia’s efforts in the promotion of peace, security and good governance at home and in the region. He explained the current peace and security situation in the Horn of Africa and reaffirmed that Ethiopia committed to peaceful coexistence. He also underscored that the support from the European Union to peace and stability is of paramount importance in the context of the region.

Ambassador Feeney on his part highlighted Ethiopia is priority country for Ireland on stated that the current political and security situation in the Horn of Africa is drawing attention of the EU. He also stressed some areas of particular importance to his country. The two Ambassadors underscore how important the role of the European Union is in the protection and enforcement maritime transport where the Union’s mission are deployed.

Ireland currently holds the Presidency of the European Union Council, and Ethiopia serves as the Chair of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS); in this regards, the two Ambassadors agreed to maintain communication and exchange of views on issues of mutual interests.

Ethiopia and the Netherlands held the fourth round of political consultation in Addis Ababa on 3 September 2026. The political consultation offered opportunities for the two countries to examine how cooperations on both bilateral and regional issues can be strengthened. They also explored potential to expand partnership, particularly in trade and investment.

The Ethiopian delegation, while appreciating the Netherlands for the support it had extended to Ethiopia’s development agenda, underlined the need to encourage trade and investment and build on growing presence of Dutch businesses in Ethiopia. Agro- processing and agriculture, mainly floriculture and horticulture still remain not fully utilized . The delegations of the Netherlands and Ethiopia highlighted firm commitment to supporting peace and security in the region. Ethiopia appreciated the Netherlands' interest to working closely with Ethiopia in areas of mutual interest.

The Netherlands delegation also underscored how important the ongoing Broad Based Home Grown Reforms are and the positive momentum of changes in Ethiopia. They reaffirming continued commitment to working with Ethiopia in the latters development efforts.

Over a hundred Dutch companies are currently engaged in different investment sectors in Ethiopia, particularly in agro-processing, agriculture, horticulture and floriculture, and the beverage industry. As part of the development cooperation between the two sides, the Netherlands is promoting with support to the social sectors such as health, education, and water projects.

Officials from both sides welcomed the growing bilateral relations between the two countries and underscored the importance of further strengthening existing relations at bilateral and multilateral levels.
