GB Rural Support Programme (GBRSP) and School Education Department (SED) Conduct Orientation and Training for Student Internship Program (SIP) Interns
The Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme (GBRSP), and the School Education Department (SED), Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, has jointly organized a three-day Orientation-cum-Training Programme for the recently inducted Student Internship Programme (SIP) interns with science backgrounds.
The orientation and training are being conducted and scheduled in three cohorts to facilitate the participation of interns from all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan.
First Cohort: Interns from District Gilgit, District Ghizer, and District Nagar successfully completed the three-day orientation and training programme.
Second Cohort: Interns from District Hunza, District Diamer, and District Astore are scheduled to attend the orientation and training programme.
Third Cohort: Interns from all districts of the Baltistan Division will participate in the final cohort of the programme.
During the three-day training, the interns receive comprehensive orientation on the organizational policies, procedures, and code of conduct of the Student Internship Programme. They are also provided with practical sessions on modern teaching and learning techniques, classroom management, professional ethics, and other essential skills by experienced officials and resource persons from both GBRSP and the School Education Department.
The inaugural session was attended by the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer, GBRSP, the Director, School Education Department, the General Manager, GBRSP, the Director EMIS, School Education Department, Deputy Directors of the School Education Department, the Manager HR & Administration, GBRSP, and the Project Coordinator, Student Internship Programme (SIP). The dignitaries welcomed the interns and highlighted the objectives of the programme, emphasizing the importance of quality education, professionalism, and the interns' role in strengthening the education sector across Gilgit-Baltistan.
Under the Student Internship Programme, a total of 127 science graduates have been selected and are being placed in government schools across all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan to support science education and enhance teaching capacity in public sector schools.
