Leuven is rood: “Geen fascisme in onze stad!”
Donderdag trok de fascistische studentenorganisatie NSV met haar jaarlijkse mars door de straten van Leuven om remigratie te eisen. Een openlijke en schaamteloos racistische oproep tot deportatie van niet-witte immigranten. Hun aanhangers verborgen hun ware aard niet en brachten trots nazigroeten, terwijl ze langs alle kanten door de politie werden beschermd. Aanvaardde Leuven dit? Een daverend NEE!
De RCO sloot zich aan bij een verenigd front van linkse organisaties in een tegenbetoging met een duidelijke boodschap: “GEEN FASCISME IN ONZE STAD”. De RCO is duidelijk in haar standpunt: geen rassenoorlog maar klassensoorlog. Wij verwerpen het demagogisch aanwakkeren van etnische haat om fascistische elementen te mobiliseren en zo de realiteit te verdoezelen: het is de heersende klasse die ons richting besparingen duwt, niet de immigranten.
De officiële cijfers verschillen, maar volgens alle berichten overtrof de linkse coalitie ruimschoots de NSV, die zelfs onder politiebescherming duidelijk te horen kreeg dat ze hier niet welkom zijn.

Leuven is Red: “No fascism in our city!”
Thursday, the fascist student organization NSV marched through the streets of Leuven with its annual demonstration to demand remigration. An open and shamelessly racist call for the deportation of non-white immigrants. Their supporters did not hide their true nature, proudly giving N**i salutes while being protected by the police from all sides. Did Leuven accept this? A resounding NO!
The RCO joined a united front of left-wing organizations in a counter-protest with a clear message: “NO FASCISM IN OUR CITY”. The RCO is clear in its position: not a race war, but a class war. We reject the demagogic incitement of ethnic hatred used to mobilize fascist elements and obscure the reality: it is the ruling class pushing us toward austerity, not immigrants.
Official numbers vary, but by all accounts the left-wing coalition significantly outnumbered the NSV, who—even under police protection—were made to understand they are not welcome here.
