The Embassy of Canada to Burkina Faso took the opportunity of May 25 — and — to highlight Canada’s continued engagement in Africa and its pride in being a co-host of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

A “Canada–Africa” gala match brought together Canada and African countries qualified for the next World Cup 🇿🇦🇩🇿🇬🇭🇲🇦🇨🇩🇹🇳. The atmosphere was warm and lively… The tone was set right from kick-off, launched by Ambassador Amb Tina Guthrie , on a pass from that landed straight on the photographer’s head 😄
