Dear AUBG community,

The war in Ukraine has left our community reeling. With the decision of a single person, the fate of million Ukrainians has been inadvertently changed. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a breach of international law and indiscriminate aggression that targets all Ukrainians regardless of age and gender. As a democratic community in an open society we have to take a stance and help, even by voice alone, the cause Ukraine represents - the cause of a democratic, free society. Our hearts go out to all community members affected by the war.

This Wednesday, tomorrow, 4:30 pm there will be a peaceful demonstration at ABF lawn against the war. Please, bring your placards or come earlier so we can make them together!

We are waiting for you!

Today, on January 27th, the world commemorates the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, also known as the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. People across the world honor millions of Jewish people and other ethnic, religious, political, and sexual orientation minorities that became victims of genocide during the World War II years. Eight decades has passed by after the Holocaust began, and today we join the world in pausing to honor and commemorate the lives of Europe’s Jews, who were targeted for annihilation, and other victims of N**i persecution.

Dear AUBG community,

As most of you are aware, our fellow student Stefan Andreev and his family are going through a tragedy. We want we, as a community, to show our support for him and assist him as we can in this horrible situation.

You have probably seen the GoFundMe campaign started on Stefan’s behalf: https://www.gofundme.com/f/andreev-family?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer . We would like to ask you, the clubs, as the soul of AUBG’s community to share the campaign on your social media so that we can help our classmate.

Thank you from SG, Sabina Aronova Wien and the university, as we are all supporting this campaign.

Thank you for being part of the community.
