Thanks everyone for your kind words, it has been such a lovely experience working on the river and sharing it with you all.
Our lodge has been built with the intention of providing a special place for nature and wildlife lovers to relax, we are visited by a lot of birds, bats, lizards and this year dragonflies, not to mention the resident hedgehogs.

We are sad to announce that Kayak safari BG is closed FOREVER!
After almost 14 years, due to overgrown w**d in the river, we haven't been able to operate this summer and don't expect things to change in the future.
Thanks to everyone that has followed our journey and supported us.
We will focus on our lodge from now on and hope that you can continue to support us and follow our next adventure there.

Home of Kayak Safaris BG we woke up to a winter wonderland this morning, 15 cm so far and still snowing.
Good news for water levels in the river and nearby Mandresko lake.

One of the many reasons people come to BG and especially to kayak with us, we paddle on the river Fakiska which feeds lake Mandra and are only 15 minutes drive away from this location, where you can bird watching to your hearts content, the guys that run this place, speak English and are extremely knowledgeable.

To build the structure on the right we needed the stuff on the left, so, a few sticks of wood arrived. Before we build all we need to do is, sand it, plane it and paint it all with preservative .
