📢 Training Held for SME Beneficiaries – Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria – North Macedonia Programme

📅 Date: 21 July 2026
💻 Platform: WEBEX

✅ A training session was successfully held for the beneficiaries of the 11 projects approved under the Call for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, with grant contracts signed at the end of June and the beginning of July this year.

👥 40+ participants directly involved in project implementation took part.

⚙️ Technical implementation, reporting, monitoring and closing
🔍 Verification and national control – procedures, good practices and examples
⚠️ Public Invitation Procedure: common mistakes, irregularities and fraud prevention

❓ The training closed with a Q&A session, giving participants direct access to Programme representatives.

💶 EUR 5.8 million will support small and medium-sized enterprises through the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–North Macedonia Programme!

📍 Regional Consultations in Strumica – Shaping the Future of Interreg 2028–2034

The first round of regional consultations for the Interreg IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Bulgaria – North Macedonia 2028–2034 has successfully concluded!

🤝 On 1 July 2026, stakeholders from across the cross-border region gathered at the Army House in Strumica to discuss future priorities, development needs, and new opportunities for cross-border cooperation.

💬 Representatives from municipalities, public institutions, regional development organisations, educational institutions, civil society, businesses, and other stakeholders actively shared their ideas and recommendations, contributing to the design of the next programming period.

✅ The completion of this first consultation round marks an important milestone in the programming process. The next phase will focus on creating the programme documents, integrating stakeholders' feedback, and establishing the governance structures for the 2028–2034 programme.
